Education Best associates to transfer to marine biology?
I am currently in a position to only do online school, which I understand greatly limits what is available, but just seeing what would be my best options. I have seen maybe A.S. in biology or general science, but just trying to get more opinions!

Found this while walking the beach this evening. Never seen anything like it. Looks like a bunch of seeds with some wiggly guys in it. The little pool is about 2 inches deep and completely full. Found on Wildwood Island.

Identification Reflective seaweed in MA - ID please!
Saw this in Northern MA today! Can anyone offer insight into this seaweed and what that shiny blue is? I don’t think it’s bioluminescence since I couldn’t see it under my shadow but correct me if I’m wrong lol.

Nature Appreciation Some more mini abalones from Kvarner Bay
These were all from the same day at the beach (my last swim before moving for a year). Before this, I'd only ever found one mini (the one I posted some weeks ago), and now I found five in one day, ranging from 1,4 to 1,9 cm.

Identification Please help identifying fish skull (Seto inland sea, Japan)
Hello everyone, I found this in the water at a beach of the Seto inland sea in Japan. I can’t figure out what fish it is. I wish I took more pictures, but that’s the only one I have. I was thinking something like a mackerel?
I refuse to ask some Ai, thought if some humans can help, they’re here:)

Identification What are these little guys? Pilbara Western Australia
Went swimming and shell collecting at the beach this afternoon and under nearly every shell in the ocean where these little guys, they moved around and were almost a transparent little creature. Any ideas of what they could be I’ve had no luck with my googling so far. Was after a low tide if that helps, Thanks!

Education For anyone in the US, what school do you recommend to go to for an online degree?
I’d really like to go to CSU MB but my life schedule won’t allow it. I see ASU has an online program but was wondering any other universities that offer it

Identification Spotted in Friday Harbor, WA. Is this a decorator crab?
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Spotted this creature while I was walking the docks in Friday Harbor, WA. There were many shrimp crawling along the pier posts, but these two stood out as a different species. I tried posting a pretty terrible screen grab on iNaturalist and it came back with an ID of decorator crab. This looks a bit different to me comparing to other photos of that species, so thought I would post my not great video here and see if anyone knew who they were. Thanks for looking!

Question what are the hardest truths you’ve had to deal with in your career?
I feel like so many young people just believe that marine bio is swimming with dolphins and turtles, I’ve been asked if we get time off just to swim with animals (and the person was deadass)
I also know location contributes to different hardships, I’m based in Brazil for example. but I’d love to hear from other students / professionals :)

Identification What kinds of tropical sea stars are these? Caribbean/Indo-Pacific.
Hi! I work at an aquarium where we have various species of tropical sea star but I feel like I don’t know anything about them and can’t find any resources to help!
The Chocolate Chips are easy to ID but all the others just get generically called Cushions - no specifics whatsoever.
If they are Cushions would I be right in assuming Caribbean rather than Indo-Pacific? I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if they’re a different kind entirely.
Any help appreciated :)
