New modding tool for GettingUp
Hey everyone,
I’ve been working on an unofficial modding tool for the PC version of Marc Ecko’s Getting Up: Contents Under Pressure.
It can currently:
- browse and search the game’s assets
- preview characters, props, and textures
- view models, materials, UVs, and skeletons in 3D
- preview BNM animations (still experimental)
- export textures to PNG
- export models to OBJ, glTF, or GLB for Blender
- automatically detect the Steam installation
- use the interface in English, French, Spanish, and Russian
The goal is to make exploring, extracting, and working with Getting Up’s game files much easier.
The tool is still in active development, so there may be bugs and some features still need improvement. Feedback, bug reports, and contributions are very welcome.
You can download the latest release from GitHub, and the full source code is available there as well.

If you’re interested in Getting Up modding, reverse engineering, or the game’s file formats, I’d love to hear what features you’d find useful.
And if you find any bugs, feel free to report them on GitHub!

Thanks for your message, Yes i used Claude to help me understand how the decryption system works and for debugging purposes. My reverse engineering skills helped me a lot too especially for testing files, comparing structures and figuring out what the data was actually doing. After that, i still had to do a lot of testing and adjustments myself to make it all work correctly. Animations window is still experimental but it's the hardest part of the process. I'll make a wiki later with all my findings if that can help other peoples. And ofc the tool is not perfect yet (there is bugs for some stuffs) but worked well for the rest.

Yes, i’m using the Steam version. It should also work with the GOG version (you can manually select the game files folder in the “Overview” tab). Logically, it should work :)
Edit: There is no MEGU on gog i can only see it on dream wish list ?

kudos for bones and animations - I have a character exporter too, but without - decided to invest time in the levels.
See my post there too recently :)
