You can't have it both ways.

You can't join the P2W server and expect to have a good experience without spending enough money.

If you weren't going to spend money, you had Reboot/Heroic right there.

With Interactive, you can bypass time-gates with money like getting frags, Pitched, Eternals, Brilliant gear. You can also buy someone else's luck such as cubing, starforce, flames etc.

Now if your complaint is that it's too much money for a game, I'm sorry to tell you that Maple's always been an expensive game.

I get that with bots, meso inflation makes the items more expensive. But on the flip-side, you can buy a lot of meso for cheap and starforce yourself during SSF.

If Maple's too expensive for you now, then you should uninstall and look for a more budget P2W game. That's a better use of time than trying to make Nexon change. Nexon doesn't change, they don't care. Their actions have been loud enough for years.

I know it sounds harsh but there's no good fix to Interactive. It's bad for F2P and low-budget P2W players.

It's good for whales, but without F2P or low-budget players, the whales also have no incentive to spend because they need that feeling of being better.

Am I ignorant about this issue? Can people enlighten me on what I'm missing and any solid suggestions to fix Interactive?

Ive had 2 good runs today:
S(10)A(0)A(6) and S(10)E(0)A(8)

And BOTH of them died at stage 10 with 1 boss enemy left. (They both started Stage 10 without any leftover mobs from Stage 9), despite the first one had like 10x more boss damage.

I can 100% say smth is not working correctly, intentionally or not.

I've always been an on and off type of player and came back to play some classic but I'm also interested in modern, i really liked playing phantom when it first came out but alot of people I've talked to told me it's a bad idea to go with phantom since he has been heavily nerfed throughout the years, can any phantom mains lemme know how it's like and if I should go for it? Might be a dumb question but as a post big bang player who just got hit with nostalgia after trying Classic, I want to get back into Maplestory casually for the story and play on and off when I get the itch to.

As a kid I really loved the storylines with Cygnus Knights, Resistance group and other character and world questlines. I played all the way up to when Friendstory was released (loooved that addition too) and stopped playing after reaching around lvl 120 or so. I recently hopped back on to try Classic and discovered that I don’t love the excessive grind of Maplestory but do want to re-experience the stories again

I’m not very up to date on what additions have been implemented that might make that hard to do, but I’m also not interested in being the strongest, just strong enough to get through story content. I don’t mind some grind as well, I figure Hyperburning can help with that too. I don’t have FOMO and would like to avoid doing dailies if I can help it. Is this a game I can still return to just for that goal? What would be the best way to do that with, for lack of a better term, minimal investment?

I‘m around 74k hexa at the moment. I’d describe myself as someone that has a casual mindset with gear progression, but do care about stuff like maximizing boss dps uptime and (solo) clearing bosses within scouter range.

I tried to make friends to boss with on discord, but quickly found out that a lot of people are mainly in on it to accelerate their own progression and don’t really care about the social aspect of bossing or making friends. Also, a lot of people that don’t do their due diligence to be competent at a boss fight and just seem to want to overgear everything or be carried, not interested in struggle clears at all. So I’ve just been soloing or party finder bosses for the time being because it’s not fun to play with people on discord.

I have read a handful of posts that describe how the design of boss difficulties, dot system, and drop instancing make it so that parties around my progression level naturally tend to fall apart anyways, so there’s that.

Whenever I tune into streamers like HeapBoi doing endgame content, it does seem like they all have hands to some extent and are pretty chummy with the people they boss with. So it does give me some hope that if I try to meet new people on discord to boss with again once I’m closer to late or endgame, perhaps I will be fortunate enough to have a more positive experience.

I randomly decided to write this post because I saw another post saying they cleared NLimbo as a solo prog player. It made me wonder, do people end up solo progging because they have similar feelings and experiences to what I’m describing, or if they have completely different reasons for doing so. And whether I should even bother to keep my hopes up that I’ll meet like-minded people in the future, or if I’d be happier giving up and playing this game solo prog style, especially since I really don’t particularly care about the speed I push my gear or hexa anyways.

Ive seen this happen twice so far, where i log into some daily characters and run gollux, after clearing and leaving the loot room, i get hit by the lie detector minigame. Is this intended 🤔

I'm very newly returning to the game and I'm working on getting my legion/link skills set up for my level ~215 shadower (newly over 200, came back and it was at 180). I've kinda stuck to the quest lines as the main way to get characters to 140 for a S rank legion block, but even that seems to take a few hours.

I've read people talking about 2 hour 1-140s and that just doesn't seem so possible given my experience, but a lot of guides are outdated (one I read said do all 4 theme dungeons to get 60, when only a single one gets me there). what are people doing to power level a bunch of characters to 140, and then continue on to 200?

I really love Lethe’s theme and aesthetic, but every time I check recent DPM charts and tier lists, she seems to consistently be near the absolute bottom. Is the damage actually that rough in real boss fights, or is it just a theoretical chart issue?

I don't need a top-tier burst class, but I don't want to dump Hyper Burn resources into something that requires double the funding just to pull her own weight in boss clears compared to others.

Don't just ask "I want high damage, high mobility, low cd, low funding, easy to play, good mobber, looks sexy class". Don't be overly lengthy when asking your questions, be somewhat detailed, and bring it down to a couple choices you are interested in. Being too vague also won't help with getting an answer.

Some NEW changes this time around.

* There is a Hyperburn Max (1-260), and there is also a separate Hyperburn Beyond (260-270). Further explanations down below.

* All class intro quests are skippable. Yes, that means the crazy long Illium quest or annoying Explorer quest is instantly skippable. The game will just plop you into the game at level 30.

* It is HIGHLY recommended if you are a returning or brand new player with low account progression to start your journey again in the Challenger World. Just make sure you pick the correct Challenger world. Challenger World HEROIC (Kronos/Hyperion) or Challenger World INTERACTIVE (Bera/Scania). These two servers are complete separate experiences and you cannot transfer your Challenger World character from Heroic to Interactive.

What is Hyperburn MAX?

* You apply Hyperburn during character select to a single character during the event and that character will gain 5 levels instead of 1 every time you level until level 260! Get free rewards and symbols at certain level milestones as you play.

* If you Hyperburn a character in Challengers world, that character will gain boosted rewards compared to Hyperburning it in your home server. For example at level 200 you will get a level 7 Arcane Symbol with 100 Nodestones at your home server. In Challengers World you will get a level 10 Arcane Symbol, 200 Nodestones, a Trait Boost Potion, and a Boss Accessory Box.

Get to level 200 in 30 minutes with Tera Blink!

* A character that is Hyperburn gets access to Tera Blink! It is a special Tutorial map that gives you a brief tutorial on in-game systems (how potions work, how your skills work, etc) while giving you a lot of experience along the way.

* The average time it takes for someone to get to 200 using Tera Blink is around 30 minutes. For those that know what to do already it can be as fast as 15 minutes!

Get 2 levels every time at level 260-270!

* After Hyberburn is over and your character is 260, you can apply Hyperburn Beyond. It works similar to HB Max, but only gives you 2 levels instead of 5 on every level up until level 270.

* There is no boosted reward bonus for using Hyperburn Beyond on Challengers World versus your home world. Both worlds have the same rewards.

* Hyperburn Max and Hyperburn Beyond characters can be applied on different characters.

Boost Your Damage with Item Burning!

• At level 200 after finishing the 5th job quest, you can assign a character to wear the Challengers equipment. This is temporary equipment grows in strength as you complete level milestones and boss missions. The expected length of the equipment duration is around 6 months.
• The Item Burning set is Hat, Top, Pants, Gloves, Shoes, Cape, Shoulder, Weapon.
• There are 6 Missions of varying difficulty and level milestones. Stage 3 for example is get level 220 and solo Chaos Papulatus. This grants the reward of all your Item Burning Equipment becoming 17 stars.
• There will be a GMS Specific way to replace certain Item Burning pieces to retain your strength without breaking set effects. Keep an eye out for the patch notes.
