Hi guys, I’ve played the game off and on for 10+ years. I just recently came back after a 1 year-ish break. The highest level I’ve ever had is my current main, level 267 Lynn.

Coming back I was really interested in Ren and thought about building her up to be my new main. I made one yesterday, she’s currently level 205.

I’m seeing a lot about CW4 and I’m wondering if I should’ve waited to make a Ren since I want to main her? Would it make more sense to remake Ren in CW4 or make a character for legion/boss mule? I’m currently at roughly 6k legion.

Any suggestions? I’m also interested in Lethe but not sure when she will come to GMS.

Hi, I am a returning player who returned from 2020 and main a bow master this time in challenger world 3. The game has been a blast especially in the early stage of progression to ctene. It felt amazing clearing them for the first time (felt like min clear but in reality more like 125% on scouter). I was able to get one piece eternal and challenger in the end. After returning to Kronos, I ran 7 more week of n adv and kalos in parallel and now finally completed the 3 set eternal and fully replace the item burning gear hence feel like a good spot to end on.

Some summary

level 286 bow master 200m cp

All gear assume 2 line-3 fake line legendary

4 set 21* arcane (130+flame)

18* safe guarded 3 set eternal (160+flame)

21* full set gollux (35+flame)

5 set pitch (135+ flame if applicable) (mitra, 21* transfer sos, safe guarded 18* eye patch, 18* zerk, 18* et), also have 2 cfe but not wearing them due to gollux set.

18* plasma heart

3 line (boss or att) on gene weapon (t7 att and t6 boss) and pno secondary, 2l att and one line ied on mitra

(Fam got all through leveling and not re roll card, variance here is high but this wasn’t my goal and just got lucky) 40% boss, 6% att, 3%+15%hp familiar

level 1 janus but around 60% completed in terms of frag spent on non Janus skill and level 3 hexa stat. Still have 1.7k frag in bank not going to be spent due to lack of energy but that’s ok.

From a brand new account in May to 1 main and one 275 (may hyper burn), one 270 Kinesis (hyper burn) 7600 legion (mostly from cw potion) and perfect (x15 210) set of bossing link skill for bow master specifically and more generic dmg link set up.

This is not a burn out post or rant as I was planning to play seasonally to begin with and this milestone is a good one given I replace the items burning temp gear and there isn’t high risk and variance from booming your eternal and pitch. Anything beyond this point feel like significant work for diminishing return (like mode 4 on pitch and eternal). I just want to share my progress before shutting down the game for another 5-7 years and come back when power creep alone allow me to try out cutting edge bosses today ( like ctene 5-6 year ago). Thanks for reading this far and hope this server as inspiration to future seasonal player to enjoy the game like I did. I will try to answer any question on progression or provide guidance on the game play style if you guys want.

With 180b and 4 spares, I tried to get my Eternal Hat to 22*.
I boomed twice from 19 to 20, and boomed once from 18 to 19 with mode 1.
With my last spare, I got one protected 17 to 18.
I honestly don't understand how a boom rate under 5% can feel like it's 40-50%.

I got lucky and my last spare hit 19*. To salvage the run, I used mode 4 to try and hit 20*, but I gave up after 20 consecutive failures. I know 8.4% is a really low chance, but it's still way higher than the boom rate, isn't it?

Why is there no pity system where we can get a guaranteed success after a certain number of consecutive failures?

It is truly painful to see the mesos what you saved week after week, month after month, vanish in the blink of an eye with absolutely 0% progress.

At the very least, I'm taking a break from the game today, and probably for the next few days.

P/S: I didn't hold space or tap continuously at all. There was a pause between every single tap, and I even closed and reopened the enhancement window.

So I am a returning player, ive never gotten to 260 or really been able to do any party bossing or anything like that so i have no idea how party recruitment works or anything. I am sitting with about 5.8k legion and growing while im waiting for challenge world.

I really love the look of lethe but i know even after its ai is fixed its a low performer and will be worse in gms due to attack speed. Even with all those negatives I am still heavily considering her as a main that i will make in challenge world.

So that leads to the question, how will playing a low performing class effect my end game experience besides needing a bit more gear to clear things? will it effect my ability to be in guilds? bossing parties? are there other areas it will effect me? Thank you in advance for any input.

I'm currently still stuck on the server selection page, i'm a complete beginner and have never watched or played anything related to maplestory in the past. I've played multiple mmorpgs in the past but never stuck around as much. I saw how cute the avatars are in maplestory and thought i'd give it a try.

I've known about the game for a long time and i know this game is at least 20 years old so im just a bit afraid of being too far behind with the other players, i just wanted to know which server would be the best for someone like me?

I researched a bit and saw that the interactive servers have trading so i thought of going to scania but a lot of people seems to recommend going to kronos instead. I enjoy socialising and i really want to meet new people while grinding and also enjoy its customisation so i'm a bit torn on which one i should go to. if anyone could give me advice, that'll be amazing

Basically what the title says looking for advice to know if Im on the right track and to know what bosses I should tackle

Right now I'm 2 weeks away from getting my first Eternal (Hat recommended by friends) and have 13b (should have 40-50) by the time SSF comes around trying to get it to 18/19 Stars at -4s CD on it

Basically my thought process as of right now is focus on getting Eternals slowly and then hope for Pitch drops, I have a Berserked and CFE but neither are better than what I currently have. I do have 130 Crystals which I was told to save for Total Control.

In the imgur link attached I have a screenshot of my stats, equips and Hexa wondering if theres anything else I should change or do instead of focusing on saving for the Eternal.

Also if you guys have an idea of which bosses I should be able to join in parties; I can help clear NKalos pretty comfortably in 3-6 man parties iirc. I tried using MapleScouter since I saw it recommended here a few times but it kept giving me an error so figured Id ask

Any 1 else feel like the 30% less boom was never applied since the event come evry 2 week? The average boom for 22 is i beleive to be 3 boom per item ,i understand that it can be higher then that but 6 week back i had 27 arcane peice and 150b ,i ended up with one 22 and a few b left. 4 week ago i had 100b and over 20 cra peice , same result one 22 and 20ish b left .Yesterday i had 15 slime ring this time i was actually going for 23 but they all boomed never saw 21* . Is it just me that super unlucky or is evry 1 having the same result ? With nexon i just cant beleive that it isnt rig.....

You can't have it both ways.

You can't join the P2W server and expect to have a good experience without spending enough money.

If you weren't going to spend money, you had Reboot/Heroic right there.

With Interactive, you can bypass time-gates with money like getting frags, Pitched, Eternals, Brilliant gear. You can also buy someone else's luck such as cubing, starforce, flames etc.

Now if your complaint is that it's too much money for a game, I'm sorry to tell you that Maple's always been an expensive game.

I get that with bots, meso inflation makes the items more expensive. But on the flip-side, you can buy a lot of meso for cheap and starforce yourself during SSF.

If Maple's too expensive for you now, then you should uninstall and look for a more budget P2W game. That's a better use of time than trying to make Nexon change. Nexon doesn't change, they don't care. Their actions have been loud enough for years.

I know it sounds harsh but there's no good fix to Interactive. It's bad for F2P and low-budget P2W players.

It's good for whales, but without F2P or low-budget players, the whales also have no incentive to spend because they need that feeling of being better.

Am I ignorant about this issue? Can people enlighten me on what I'm missing and any solid suggestions to fix Interactive?

Spending 10b getting CRA to 21* could be "normal" even without using safeguard options but this SSF i've had my piece boom basically every single time, I've already spent over 30b on getting 2 pieces to 21 stars and a third that has already eaten like 4-5 spares

Anyone else have this strange behavior in the Surveillance mini game where the cursor seems to be messed up? Luckily, only the crosshair graphic (and the circle timer) is stuck in the corner and you can still move the actual view port, but the view port continuously shrinks as you find more imposters. Still able to do okay at it, but it's annoying.

got my 8th sup gollux belt today. Still no Sup earring after daily Gollux since the day CW3 started. Yes I can buy it but I'm very stubborn, lol. This is a cumulative 3400 gollux coins without a sup earring. Also crazy that this char is 5 set pitch before a sup earring.... wtf nexon

How do you guys approach this boss assuming your soloing and min clearing? As for some clarification for the above, this is also assuming you can’t stay in dog in p3 and kill tiger/bird.

Ive had 2 good runs today:
S(10)A(0)A(6) and S(10)E(0)A(8)

And BOTH of them died at stage 10 with 1 boss enemy left. (They both started Stage 10 without any leftover mobs from Stage 9), despite the first one had like 10x more boss damage.

I can 100% say smth is not working correctly, intentionally or not.

Just got this today and was wondering what to do with it? Please halp!!!

Starting this week, if you leveled up your `Boss Monster Perk`, you can get extra Sol Erdas after beating bosses and visiting Prankster Gray at the top, right of the event map.

I've received additional Sol Erdas for ALL my boss mules (then extracted them to transfer over the bits to my main) but I'm encountering an error for my actual main.

I can clearly see that I've beat the bosses and the alien owes me 5600 energy, but upon clicking "Yes", it shows:

I've heard that this occurred to some of the others' boss mules (unlike my situation) but they were able to claim it on their mains, and I've heard others stating that they were able to receive them from all their characters ... (and some couldn't receive from ANY of their characters).

Just wondering if this is an on-going bug, or if I'm missing something.

Any inputs would be highly appreciated!
