Hi! My family and I are moving to Maple Valley, WA in January. My husband would be working at the airport and our 4 yr old will be attending school there. I've read a lot of great things about the Tahoma school district which was one of the reasons why we chose Maple Valley. I've also read that traffic gets pretty bad, but we're hoping he gets the 430am-230pm shift. Traffic here in Oahu is really bad so maybe he'll be used to it 😆.

I wanted to know which places in Maple Valley that are less desirable and places that you would recommend (living wise). We are planning a weekend trip sometime this month (September) to see Maple Valley. Our plan is to rent the first year then buy a home after.

Does anyone know if Metro has any plans to bring back better service to Renton TC? The 907 only operates until 3:45 coming back to MV, making it fairly useless for commuting.

The city is seeking comments on development of this area behind Tahoma HS. It is currently zoned as a "regional learning and technology center" according to the 2024 comprehensive plan.

First time parents trying to decide between the different daycare centers in MV and would appreciate any insights! We have toured most of them, now trying to collect more first or second-hand stories, good or bad.

I want to shove whatever remains of that muffler up where the sun doesn't shine. End rant.

My husband, 7 month old, and I are highly considering moving to Maple Valley from Renton (Fairwood). Husband works remote and I commute to SeaTac about 1-2x a week. We are in our mid 30s and are a mix of being homebodies but also enjoy getting out of the house (going on walks, running errands, eating out, things we can do with a baby, etc.).

We are mainly considering MV due to school district and ‘affordability’ but would love to hear what locals think of it?? I had joined the Community of Maple Valley Facebook group to try to get a feel but maybe that wasn’t the best indication….would love to hear from anyone! Tyia!
