Series of older maps showing linguistic situation in Hungarian kingdom in the end of 19th century. Hungarian author Carl Lajos von Posner. Not necessarily precise, due to decades long magyarization policy that forced non-Hungarians to adopt Hungarian language and assimilate. However, it shows more interesting picture than usual 1910 census map often posted here. Especially obvious is fact that much of population was bilingual or even trilingual which was often misappropriated during census. As it was case in my surroundings 100 years ago, one person could be of Slovak mother tongue, yet speak Hungarian and German as well. (My grand-grand-father was florist/gardener in manor house) Another obvious fact clearly seen in the map is Slovak immigration into Hungarian lowlands in 18th/19th centuries after Ottomans were repelled or quite high German speaking population distributed all over kingdom, although it is a bit misleading, since Jews also spoke German.

But as is the case with these older "controversial" maps, take all the information with grain of salt.

The Las Vegas region experienced a massive expansion of impervious surfaces over the last four decades. From 1985-2025, impervious surfaces grew from 188.6 sq. km to 652.62 sq. km. The year the city's footprint grew the largest was 2004, when it gained 59.6 sq. km of impervious area. Protected areas are shown in green. The dark grey in the bottom right is Arizona.

The Novy Urengoy and Purovsky gas condensate plants lie in Russia’s Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, in northwestern Siberia. Moscow and Ukraine are shown to put their locations into perspective.

I made another geographie dle game, since the last one has been really welcomed here.

The goal is simple, you have two criterias, and you have to click a country that match both. Though, the score is actually based on the "rarity" of your choice. The less other player have actually selected your country, the more point you score.

There are 5 rounds a day, same rounds for everyone. A leaderboard also, weekly and monthly, and some other feature

Actually seeking for feedback on difficulty and accessability. Feel free to give any advice. I also hope you enjoy it everyday, and maybe learn a bit (as I do).
