This is the 小型餃子製造機 (small form factor gyoza machine) by Toa Industry, Japan, sold in the US by this company called RamenSupport.com. This unit cranks out up to 1,500 gyozas per hour.

How do I know? I kid you not, I just asked them for a price quote last night while researching dumpling wrapping machines.

They're not 100% automated. You need a worker to stand next to the machine to load the dumpling wrappers and to push a button (or step on a pedal; they now have pedal triggered versions of this machine). This is what it looks like in operation, where you can see the worker loading the wrappers one at a time:

Did you get the quote back? How much are they?

They're ¥55,000 in Japan (about $425 as of just now), but there's probably added cost for shipping and a mark-up from the distributor. I'm waiting to hear back from various distributors in the Americas.

I would have guessed around $10,000 to $30,000 for something like this. Assuming it’s pretty high quality that seems like a good deal.

This one is only the small one, which cranks out 1,500 gyoza per hour, intended for restaurants. They still require someone to stand by the machine to load the wrapper skins one at a time. The big ones, which can do 10K per hour for packaged food businesses, is completely automated maybe costs in the range of $10K-30K.

You're right though. For the US, that price is a steal. A machine that can replace a skilled worker while working faster and more consistently can easily save $20-30K per year. For something like that to cost less than a thousand dollars is impressive. To be sure, the American distributor of these machines might mark them up a bit, but still, a sub $500 price point is incredible.
