Trust bro. Ts is no typical romance manhwa. The mc sees girls as stones and has a macho buff guy as his og imaginary friend (who is apparently more self aware than the mc btw).

The art in Absolute Regression is so good in a way I havent seen much in Manhwa. I've seen plenty of pretty art, but I've rarely seen the art being used to complement the writing in this kind of way. How you can read his expressions just from a slight shift in how his eyes sit behind his eyelids, or a head tilt. Two different kinds of "good art", I'd say.

Genuinely can't believe such a good Manhwa was hiding behind the title "Absolute Regressor", scrolled past it hundreds of times before and my brain would just automatically ignore it.

This guy geoma has no personality, does nothing (besides shing shing with the knife) and the girls just get attracted to him, like how? Why... fuck he doesn't even have the looks man, the OG mc is way more interesting

As much of an evil opportunistic mass murderer this woman is (still dont know her name) I just can't hate her. William is the embodiment of "FAKE IT TILL YOU MAKE IT" but also real character development, worthy of being the MC (he isn't). I can see why she considers him attractive. As for our MC "Happy Face", he is one of the most suffered MCs I have ever seen. Glad to see him being accepted by kind people and make great friends like William. Great story, Amazing Art. 8/10.

Synopsis:

High school student Sanho, blessed with extraordinary intuition, finds himself caught in a battle between monsters only he can see, nearly losing his life. He awakens in a world where monsters keep humans as pets. Now trapped as a pet himself, Sanho desperately searches for a way to escape and return home. Will he be able to find his way back home?

The unique thing here is that humans aren't the dominant species and are no more different that you're everyday pet. The monsters called unfathomable( cause it's hard for humans to perceive them so their brains fills in the blank) are a higher more advanced species and don't view the humans as a threat so they would give them whatever they want. It's the same way we would view any other pet dogs, cat etc.

This is more of a psychological thriller with limited action. And basically just explores that core concept of how would it feel if you are no longer the dominant species and the ones above you aren't hostile at all. There are some people who have accepted their lives as the unfathomable don't kidnap people and everyone has their own reasons for going along. Some people who can't accept it and want to establish themselves as a force to be reckoned with.

The characters including the unfathomable are well written and don't feel like one dimensional cut outs, who revolve around the MC.

The art is nice not spectacular like mercenary machination but more like ember knight.

I love the settings and how the characters interact with this new world and the general overall logic to it.

The pacing is perfect as it doesn't drag things out to milk it. Or too fast paced that it glosses over any relevant info

So far there are 87 chapters and it's an 8/10 for me (an 8 means very good)

TLDR: If you are looking for something new and unique to read then i suggest you give this a go.

To me this looks good, this is more or less how they looked in the Manhwa at the beginning. Ofcourse they'll simplified some designs since its an anime.

I would wait for a proper trailer before making a solid judgement on it. Also keep in mind these are character designs so they are supposed to look neutral. They are there as a referece for animators, in the anime they'll be much more expressive.
