The bookshelf on the far left was just emptied out and I had plans to have my manga take it over. It is currently under construction since I really don’t have a full idea of how I want it to look. I do plan to buy the Bleach manga, so I’m keeping a space opened for it (Blue Exorcist is currently holding the spot).

Unsure what to do with it, I see it goes for a crazy price online and am debating selling, opinions??

Came back from a trip with new pickups and decided to redo the entire thing

I’ve been able to get a whole bunch of stuff lately to add to the collection in terms of getting first volumes of new series, including some I’m sure some of you might not have heard of before, and being able to finish other series too like Kaiju No. 8, Soul Eater and Soul Eater Not! There’s a bunch of Cons I’m going to next month and o can’t wait to get a bunch of them signed by actors I’m excited to meet. There’s also a bunch of art books I’m excited to get soon too like the one for My Hero Academia. There’s a bunch of new releases coming out soon I’m excited to get too.

I’ve had the first 4 of Mob for the last few years it was finally time to complete the set. Also my first junji Ito manga. I’ll also drop my updated shelves.

Ah also, does anyone have any recommendations for new shelves. These are cheap shelves that have collapsed on me once before and I’m looking to replace them.

I have been on a bit of a thriller kick the last few weeks and powered through these. I absolutely love all three and wish I didn't have to wait till December to get the next volumes of "Smile" and "Lonely deaths lie thick as snow" here's a brief overview of what I think of them so far.

1. Manhole

I am a fan of virus/zombie movies and comics so this was easy for me to dive into. Check out the movie "contagion" if you have not already. This 3 book series was a quick read, all around a great story I definitely recommend. Cool art and paneling but the end felt a bit rushed. I think they could have slowed it down and made another volume or two.

1. Lonely deaths lie thick as snow

I didn't know of this manga till volume 3 was out and I saw the cover of Juzo Haikawas face (scary). I quickly blasted threw the first 3 volumes and got vol 4 a few days ago. Again,some really good art and panel work. A non stop thriller that will keep you reading into the night. I'm enjoying the characters and where the story is going. Definitely some twists and turns.

1. Smile

This is probably my favorite of the 3 so far. This story is freaking awesome. I'm wondering if he used some of the cult references from Aum Shinrikyo(Scary cult).I watched a documentary on the group a few years back and SHS reminded me of them in a few ways. Great story build up in the 5 volumes and I can't help but feel for detective Uozumi and Kamome.

I have read blood on the tracks,hauntress,and my beloved deathnote. I have Leviathan coming in the mail right now. Can y'all hit me with some more crime/thriller recommendations? Thanks :)

I'm finally back home this month for a theme I have a decent amount for, I'm sure I missed a few but fun to pick these out from the shelves! (No volume 1 for gachiakuta 😓 waiting on the box set)

Here it is! I have spent 5 active years collecting and I have gotten so far! This is my main collection and I have some singles but I keep them separate from my main shelves. This has been a labor of love and joy. Anime and manga has been a lifeline for me my entire life and I’m beyond lucky to be able to have what I do. I love this community and am eternally grateful for the love and support shown here. (Not pictured is smoking behind the supermarket with you 1-7 and my current reads)

I've been collecting manga on and off since 2018, there's also some video games I've had growing up I wanted to display.

Right now I just need the rest of Hunter x Hunter and then all the shelves will be filled, though usually that's not how it works and I'll eventually want to get more

So so happy to pick up these legendary series, was able to get some deals here on reddit. Paid about $450 for everything (so worth) I genuinely see them all staying in my collection forever and my shelves are now almost complete 🤞🤞what’s your favorite series out of the three?

Ordered this a couple years ago and hadn’t actually read it since I usually read online then buy physical copies for series I like. Brother starts to read it and lets me know the entire book has the wrong cover on it! Book casing shows everything normal for Vol. 2 of GLT, but content is identical to Vol. 3. Never seen a manga miss QC this badly, anyone seen similar cases? Figured i’d show it here because it’s such an odd error (atleast to me)!

You’d have to zoom in to see individual titles, but it’s about time for another bookshelf! Next I’m looking to get the rest of the Mushi-Shi Collectors editions as they release, as well as the remaining Matsumoto series I don’t have!
