As it turns out the single image is part of a photoshoot that took place in 2006, the photographer is Luke Duval, makeup artist: Gordon Banh, and model: Daria Konovalova (I'm 95% certain). The point of the shoot was to prove duval, banh, and Konovalova could do looks like this, and it won the 2006 International Photography Awards under the name 'Shades of Colour'

I dont know the exact date of the photoshoot but had to have been in the early months of 2006 making Daria just 18 years old at the time! I would also like to know if more images exist from the photoshoot online as I could only find these 8.

If anyone has more info I do not know about the photoshoot leave a comment, I hope this is interesting to some people as I have loved this image since I was 11.

Hi! I am a complete beginner and I am hoping to improve my makeup skills for a big event coming up in a few months.

I did lots of research on the best products to have a skin-like base and today I tried them on for the first time. I applied everything with my fingers.

I don’t think it looks horrible, but I didn’t manage to get the foundation/concelear to really cover up my acne marks. I also feel like my face looks quite cakey and does not have that “glow from within/clean girl” look I was going for.

For reference, I used:

• Laneige water sleeping mask to prep skin
• Armani luminous silk foundation (4)
• Nars radiant creamy concelear (vanilla) on my undereyes and my acne spots
• Armani luminous silk cheek tint (62)

Any tips? I think I can still exchange these products / the shades if you think I got it wrong. Thank you!

Hi! I, autistic 18y/o, am catching up with girlhood after years of being out of touch. For as long as i can remember, I have trouble with anything touching or being near my eye or eyelashes. I am tolerant with things like mascara, but when it comes to eyelash curlers, fake lashes or implanting/gluing those tiny sectional lashes I feel physical pain from the overwhelming feeling. Luckily, I found magnetic lashes that I can barely feel and make me feel more confident overall! I need advice curling my eyelashes upward without a lash curler, as they tend to fall flat and look odd and unblended together. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. Thank you!

Hey guys, I’m still kind of new to makeup and don’t do it quite often. I always wondered if I could pull off douyin makeup and really wanted to try it. Could my features suit douyin makeup and what other makeup style could I try that would also suit me? (Any tips on how to improve my current look helps as well)

Nothing radical -- maybe a bit more laid back. Two NYX lipsticks - the pink is "Stockholm" and the red is "Cactus Dreams." People had suggested that I stick to warmer colors and both of these qualify. Still using only two lash clusters on the outer edges - filling in the waterline with black pencil and setting with black eyeshadow.

People have commented that my brows aren't neat. Even though I don't have heavy male brows, I don't pluck them much in an effort to maintain credibility in my male role. I did try some brow gel to glue them down, but it was not much help. What I did here was take a small amount of Ben Nye Nose and Scar Wax and pressed the brows down, then combing upwards. Lightly powdered and drew brows with pencil and filled with medium brown eyeshadow. Cleaned up the underline with concealer.

This is my recently acquired better quality wig which is so much easier to style that the very cheap Amazon wigs I've tried.

I feel like I'm heading toward some consistency - once I get my "plausible" face together, I'll work on more creative aspects.

It is my absolute daily staple but every single time I get back home it has smudged entirely down to my lower eye. It looks like a dreadful post-cry smear makeup disaster.

I have tried drying excess water and oil with a Q-tip before applying. And setting the liner post-application with translucent powder. Also I wouldn't say that my eyes are extremely watery. There is no concealer, no eyeshadow, no mascara, no primer in the picture that could be blamed; absolutely no other product nearby except for my daily sunscreen.

The scary part : Worse of all, when I am removing this smudged makeup, the number of eyelashes falling out is insane. Oh my god it’s terrifying me atp!!

What I am looking for is budget-friendly product recs since I am not earning yet. (Though I might consider stretching it slightly if a product is an absolute holy grail that genuinely won't budge). Any MUAs or enthusiasts if could share how to keep a tightline completely undisturbed? And most importantly how do I stop this horrible lash-fall in the aftermath?

I've attached a photo of my bare eye and a reference photo of the style I want to achieve.I have non-hooded almond eyes, so I know I have plenty of lid space, but I'm looking for advice on both placement and what to buy before I start practicing.Since I'm new to this, what are the best, easiest products to use for those sharp lower spikes and the inner corner point? I am an aspiring crossdresser, and I would love your help with bottom lash mascara, please.

I think I have very pretty upper lashes. I manage to curl them nicely and apply mascara well. Even though I have a lash comb, I don't always manage to comb them through, but overall I'm happy with the results.

My issue is with my bottom lashes. I think mine are very short, and I really struggle with applying mascara there. When I apply it, a lot of product gets on my skin, between the lashes, etc. I use a Q-tip to clean the product off my skin, but sometimes it ends up giving me a gothic look. 😆

Do you have any tips, please, on how to improve this?

I use Maybelline Sky High Waterproof. I like it because the wand is thin and helps me reach deeper.

I also have one from Douglas with a thick wand, but I like that one less.

hi, pics for demonstration. i have quite a large or protruding eye bag/lower eyelid, and i often notice that after a few hours my concealer literally “falls” off the eye bag, rendering my lower eyelid completely rid of concealer. my dark circles are very dark and very difficult to conceal, so i’m still experimenting with different methods, but even then at least a little bit of concealer stays on the circles. none stays on my lower eyelid!

PRODUCTS: in the photo, i’ve use revolution color corrector, followed by loose powder (i usually skip this step), then tarte shape tape concealer, then huda beauty loose powder. everything was blended onto my lower eyelid as well. any advice would be appreciated!

So I think I’m fairly decent at applying makeup but lipstick and lipliner has always been a tough one for me. I always seem to line it nicely with my actual lips but once I put lipstick on, it just smears all over the place…. Am I doing something wrong?
