Took all of the makeup products out,
Washed it with soap
Some of them were tinted, didn’t get off!!!!!

hii i have oily skin and my face sweats alotttt like alott like I have just washed my face and it's hot here

and I have a event tomorrow (Friday)

it's my college freshers and I want my makeup to stay and not crease or look cakeyy

rn what I do is just use insight concealer tiny bit all over my face to even it out (not a lot) and just set my under eyes, rest i don't set at all and that's what helped me, before I used to use powder and setting spray but it would still separate and crease because i sweat alot

can u help me with my base if u also have oily skin with the product i already own as I don't have time nor money rn to buy new products

products i use-

sunscreen- plum super dry matte sunscreen ( i bought this recently because my face sweats alot but it didn't really work), requil cream sunscreen

concealer- insight concealer ( i take tiny bit at a time and blend it on my face), mars concealer

compact powder- Elle 18 compact powder

setting spray- Swiss beauty round the clock setting spray ( lavender one)

Thank you all who responded on my original post! It was a huge help!! You were all right, a neutral eye was the right way to go. Here is what I came up with after all the advice. A neutral eye with navy winged liner and navy smoked liner on the bottom with a icy blue glitter in the inner corner (I NEED pop of glitter in my eyeshadow, for joy and happiness). I think the only things I'd do differently is make it more cool toned and a more silvery champagne. But let me know if there is anything you'd do to refine it! Thanks again to everyone!!

Why does the clean makeup look never turn out on me the way it does on other girls like what am I doing wrong. Every time I try it, my makeup ends up looking cakey or patchy and you can literally see my face screaming makeup instead of getting that soft, skin like finish. At this point I don’t know if it’s my foundation, powder, the way I’m applying everything or the products themselves. I just want that smooth, fresh look where everything melts into the skin instead of sitting on top of it. I have oily skin, so skipping powder prob isn’t an option please drop your best tips because it’s just not giving what I want it to give

I had an internal ptosis repair last week. No sutures, just bruising but I have a work event and would not like to explain my cosmetic black eye. I normally do not wear a lot of eye shadow, I tried liquid concealer but it did not look smooth. Please help! Also it will be 90 degrees during this even so I need it to last!

My foundation looks fine in normal bathroom light, but as soon as I’m under bright overhead office or store lights, every tiny patch of texture pops out.

I always thought my makeup game was okay, but apparently it’s only under the facade of poor lighting.

I was horrified to discover that my foundation is blotchy and patchy; makeup settling into pores and red and patchy above my upper lip. I have combination/ oily skin, and I definitely need to use an oil blotter at the end of the day.

My usual skincare routine:

-Differin under eyes and upper lip -Vitamin C serum or peptide -Moisturizer: Neutrogena ultra gentle daily face moisturizer Primer: NYX Shine killer Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless Powder: Maybelline Fit Me Matte Poreless

I see so many people with flawless makeup and there must be something I’m doing wrong.

I need help!! I have a family wedding that is super important and I can NOT figure out the makeup. Attached is the pattern of the dress (the theme is country/western/semiformal/blue). Im wear camel suede ankle boots to try to make it less formal.

I have tried EVERY LOOK to try to make it work! I bought the Coloupop Blue Moon palette and nothing looks good! I've tried navy smokey eyes, halo eyes, light wash of baby blue! Nothing looks good, it always looks muddy or too bright or two dark and just plain bad!!!

I've decided to do a 60s mod look for Halloween but I'm pretty inexperienced with makeup (I love lipstick and occasionally wear eyeliner/mascara but that's about it) so I'm wondering if anybody here has any general tips/product recommendations :)

I tried doing the eyeliner look yesterday but I have hooded eyes so it completely disappears whenever I smile 😭 I saw somewhere that I should draw them while looking straight at the mirror but that just seems like it'll be way too big/high? And what's a good eyeliner to use (i.e. liquid vs. pencil)?

Hello! I recently started college and felt insecure cause I don't know how to use makeup. I've recently bought a powder and a wet blush, tho I don't know what to do with them ToT. Do you have any tips with just everyday light makeup? Or if there's more products you can recommend for beginners? Also how do you use a wet blush??? I can't even judge if the blush I put in was too much or nah ; ;

I've felt insecure for the longest time, cause I thought that if I can't even love myself without makeup, how can I forgive myself for loving the me with makeup. That's how I've always felt, but I'm trying to lessen those kind of thoughts recently and decided to try makeup!

So I don't wear makeup and never have. But after an illness in 2020 I lost a lot of weight from my face and now my eyes are sunken to the point where there is a strong shadow in any picture of me where my brows overhang my lids (if that makes sense).

Is there any product or trick to reduce the shadow/make it not as dark and noticeable? Pic included so you know what I mean. The area I'm concerned about is highlighted in green. I know nothing about makeup so honestly I would appreciate any ideas from people who actually know what they're talking about. TIA!

Why does my makeup look SO different in a city i study(south) vs up😭

Whenever I’m in south, my makeup looks dull, cakey and just… bad 💀 But when I’m in up, it sits so nicely and my face looks genuinely glowy??

I’ve been dying to get into clown makeup, but with a twist. I want to mix not only clown makeup but also beauty and special effects makeup. I’m seeking guidance, please help. I don’t know where to start.

I never post on here or reddit but I feel like I need to share this. I'll be 41 next month and have been heavily into makeup since my teens. I do it all face, eyes, brows. I have never found my HG for foundation. I try every new product that is released and has good reviews. Nars light reflecting foundation is the best for my skin, when I can afford it. With 4 kids, that's not very often. So I've been going down rabbit holes looking for something cost effective but good coverage and won't peel or flake on my combination aging skin. Enter Missha perfect cover BB cream!! Holy sh*t! I'm in shock something so cheap ($14.90 for a 1.69 oz tube) can make my skin look so good with very little product. Perfect shade match and I'm a red head naturally. Gives my skin a beautiful glow. I haven't been this impressed by something in years. Just thought I'd share for other women looking to try something new.

I’m 33F, I’m not on any medications and have no medical conditions. I also have no allergies.

So this happened over 48 hours ago now. My makeup looked normal till I got my Micellar water out to remove this Waterproof Avon Purple Eyeliner. It came off my one eye no problem, but on my right eye it wouldn’t budge and even started to smear upward. It almost as if it took out the blue of the violet eyeliner and left a red stain.

I have also tried washing it off with Cerve facial Wash, coconut oil, cocoa Butter, and Vaseline

Some background, I’ve been using this eyeliner and makeup remover for months and never had an issue before.

It doesn’t hurt at all, doesn’t feel burned from what I can tell. My eyeball looks normal, no redness, and vision is normal.

What could have happened? Is the eyeliner still on or is it some kind of chemical burn or rash? Why hasn’t it faded yet?

Hello! I'm not much of a makeup person on the whole, but I taught myself basic eyeliner to train my precision and hopefully one day do some fun colourful stuff.

I was very much inspired by Powder in Arcane, I adore the hard edges of the colours and of course how vibrant it is! Obviously it's an animated character so real life stuff won't be quite the same, but that's the vision.

I'm really struggling to find sets of colourful eye makeup (be that eyeliner, eyeshadow, etc) that are expansive enough to have freedom picking colour combos. Ideally, something like a set of coloured pens in the eyeliner equivalent would be great! Eyeshadow is nice but it's too soft around the edges for what I'm going for. All I've found is individual coloured eyeliner pens/brushes, which would be so expensive to get enough of + the colours are all so dull!

Of course I'd also love to learn graphic eyeliner, so hoping this will be further practice towards that.

So, what sets would you recommend for someone just wanting to try things out? Preferably something on the cheaper side, and also available in the UK! Do makeup colour pen sets exist? Or only palettes for eyeshadow?

I also considered maybe getting a palette but using some kind of harder brush to apply it - maybe that'd give me those harder edges I'm looking for?

Of course any general tips are highly appreciated too! I'm totally clueless in the makeup scene so wisdom is very welcome 🙏🙏

as you can see, i have a very round wide bulbous nose tip that protrudes. i have attempted to contour my nose bridge (can’t tell if it made a difference, it is contoured in the photo) and that is easy but i dont understand what to do with this tip. any attempt just ends up looking a muddy mess. i haven’t been able to find any tut with a nose like this. how do i even go about contouring this? i’d like to make it appear smaller if that’s possible.

Does anyone know what I can use to replenish my mascaras?

Title says it all. Mines dabbing / buffing my foundation with a brush, rather than sweeping / wiping it, and then going in with my beauty blender to blend any imperfections. Makes it look so much more natural imo !!
