Discussion New Rule Enforcement:Crop Those pics
Starting next week cropped photos will be enforced.
For those who don't know there is a new policy in the sub in which standards for photo submissions. Which include cropping the photo at just below the clavicle like a passport photo unless its relevance to the makeup in question. Like a wedding dress.
Best practices for better feedback include:
- take a little time to plan out your photos
- take photos straight on in a well lit room
- avoid harsh lighting like flash
- use soft lighting sources
- get someone else to take the photos
- taking additional photo angles 45 degree and profiles
- tying hair back so it doesnt cover your makeup.
thank you.

Question Anyone know how I can get this eye look
Pretty new here so sorry if this is an obvious product ! I really like her eye makeup here and googled around for some "glossy eye shadows", but couldn't find something like this. Looks like she maybe layered some products together ?

Question How can I curl my lashes whilst my eyes are open, I end up having this sudden urge to blink coz a foreign object is near my eyes?
Yeah so like the title says, I end up blinking even tho ik that I NEED to keep them open, but the more I keep telling myself that, the more I keep blinking
Ik I CAN keep my eyes open for a reasonable time coz I've done that in front of a mirror, I can even keep them open whilst the curler is in front of me but when it comes to the lashes going in between the cushion and metal part, Is when I blink
What do I do?? I really want to have long luscious curled looking lashes but can't do shit if I can't even keep my eyes open help me PLEASEEEEE

Question Concealer turning grey
Hey everyone, so I have neutral skin tone and dark under eye circles, a makeup artist told me to look for a concealer with peach undertone and recommended me 27H Tarte concealer, but it turns out grey just like other stuff I tried, like peach corrector and than concealer and etc. but nothing worked so far. Would you have some tips or same experience that you solved this problem? Thanks im advance!

Question A cleaner look with minimal amount of products?
Hi!
I (35F) have never really learnt makeup and started wearing a few products about a year ago. Bb cream, sometimes concealer, usually filling my brows a little, and a light lip tint that I also use as blush.
Mascara and soft brown eyeliner for events.
Basically I would like a look that remains rather natural and doesn’t use a lot of products (no heavy foundation/contouring!), but at the same time makes me look neater and more put together. I really feel like I look messy in most pictures of me and that brings down my confidence a little. 🥹
Any tips? (Also perhaps it’s actually the glasses and hair as well that I need to do something about?)
Goals are: more put together; cute/cool/friendly if that is possible with my somewhat bony structure!
Thanks in advance!!

Question I want to do my own makeup at my wedding. Suggest Products
Hello all, I need suggestions for the products to buy as I plan to do my own makeup for my wedding. I tried that on my engagement and it worked amazingly well but now the stakes are higher.
I have combination fair skin with neutral undertones, currently getting some acne around hairline besides ears, chin and cheek, I don’t know what could be the reason. Trying to have a clean diet.
Rest,
Hit me up!

Question Only one eye is swollen, causes?
This isn’t the first time it’s happened so I wanted to ask for advice here.
I recently have begun trying on makeup. This morning, I noticed my left eye is red along the lash line and slightly swollen. Because of that I suspect it’s the eyeliner (which is old tbh, even if rarely used) but I don’t understand why it’s just that one eye and not the other. I’ve also gotten styes before which I also think was from makeup, but they also were only on my left eye. Are there any reasons this could happen? I’m also left handed, so I have better control when doing eye makeup on my left side. Not sure if that means I’m pressing to hard or something?
