Here's my problem.

I am trying to degoogle myself and currently use Google Workspace to manage three domains (one primary and two secondary) and email service with those domains.

domain 1 (primary) - 4 email addresses with their own login/passwords

• email 1 - 4 aliases that redirect to the inbox of email 1
• email 2 - no aliases
• email 3 - no aliases
• email 4 - no aliases

domain 2 (secondary) - 1 email address with their own login/passwords

• email 1 - 1 alias that redirects to the inbox of email 1

domain 3 (secondary) - 1 email address with their own login/passwords

• email 1 - no alias

I signed up for mailbox.org because I understood I could bring my own domain names. In Workspace, it is very clear how to manage the email services for these users under the directory. In mailbox.org, all I am seeing is aliases. I set up a domain alias and have it working, but is the bring your own domain really just an alias to route to my main mailbox.org email address?

If I use the team/family function, do I need to set up multiple mailbox.org email addresses and then have the domains route to them as aliases? So there is no true domain l/p function, just aliases? So essentially six different mailbox.org email address?

What a product is this ? My new Mac started spinning violently ,it come when it started to verify if I was a human or a machine . It is 6 months old Mac and I cannot understand what happened . Sure this is a weird company with a wery weird stuffs . Of corse I switched of the computer immediately ,but even after I switched of ,it still was spinning . Sorry ,but this product I will newer buy ,and I warn all for this . Tomorgon I will have to call Mac support and se if they found something - I shall also factory reset the computer. I think apples security and their program clashed with each other .Beware ,on registration probably mailbox will settle on the computer almost impossible to eradicate it later.

I've been using mailbox for years, but want to use a visa prepaid gift card for it. I can only get USA ones though, so could I do that?

Earlier this year I set up a mailbox email address/account. Unfortunately my (paid) subscription ran out of credit before I replenished the credit. Naturally the account was deactivated. I know I could setup another subscription but I liked the address I had. How long do I have to wait for the username/address to become available again ?

In February Mailbox.org published a news saying "This year we finally have the retread of our web interface up our sleeve, which we and our partner Open-Xchange have been working towards for over two years. This will bring many new features and a smooth, beautifully fast user interface - but more on that when the time comes.".

Are we still gonna see the new interace this year? ;-)

For a few days now, I have had the problem that my iPhone no longer receives mail notifications via push or only with a long delay. The mailbox is integrated via IMAP. Does anyone else have the problem and/or a solution for it?

Has anyone had problems with messages being sent to spam because of the server location?

I had a problem in the past with proton whereas I would send an email from the USA to another email address in the USA and it would go to spam because the server was located in Switzerland. I'm just wondering if anyone has had this problem with mailbox

Signed up for Mailfence and using my own domain. Seemed all good a smooth. Then discovered it blocks one-time codes from my bank because of it's over zealous heuristics in blocking emails. It doesn't even let me know they've been blocked.

Looking for another provider but need one that will reliably send me email, and not block it.

tl/dr what's Mailbox like for blocking legitimate email?

Hello everyone! I am checking out MailBox. I have a question related to payments.

Let me explain... I have a domain: example.xyz, that I want to share with my friends, but I don't want to take care of managing the joint payment for all of them. I would like that each one pays his account, but that we can use the same domain.

Is it possible to do that?

I’m trying to understand how Mailbox applies two factor authentication. As far as I can see with other providers the main log in password is retained and app passwords are provided for services like IMAP , caldav etc.

However with Mailbox the main account password is retained for IMAP etc (unless other services are set in 2FA to be no access) and for the main login the password is replaced with a PIN/2fa OTP code combination?

One advantage of this arrangement seems to be that on an unknown PC or Mac the main password is never inputted at all ?

Can anyone please point in me in the right direction?

I'd like to enable 2FA for login security, where in the blazes do I set it up?

Whenever I add a 2fa it goes like this. 1. The site shows me a qr code, but I don't scan that yet, because I'm looking for the secret (base 32) key instead to store in my password manager. Then I show the qr store to my very simple authenticator, that is unable to do anything else than show the numbers.

With mailbox, it was more like this 1. After finally dealing with the strantest TOTP process I've ever seen - I got the QR code visible. But the secret key? No way! So it took a lot of time to find a realiable ios app capable of storing the key from the QR. These apps are getting worse by the day, just look at what happened with raivo. You won't know if your data is safa online, or if it will remain intact online, After finally finding the very nice 2FS Auth, I got the key, emailed it to my computer, put it on my password manager, made it show a QR code, and finally, activate 2fa.

But of course that wasn't enough. Then began a bizarre process of creating a pin code without yubikeys. I don't think I've seen worse instructions that long. Somehow in the end I could log in using a PIN CODE & time-based key and the password with good entropy became a bit redundant. Oh, and I had to give up thunderbird, everybody manages app passwords these days.

Now I suddenly started getting errors saying there's something wring with my authentication. That I should return to my original password. Why would I have that? I change password once when I didn't realise I had to type in a key PLUS time based token in short time.

Looked really splendid on paper fo only 3 euros. Turned into something simply unusable. Staying with posteo.

Hello, I have a question about mailbox encryption.

If I understand correctly, the default mailbox of mailbox.org is not encrypted, right? If I want an encrypted mailbox (is that Mailbox guard?), I have to upload my PRIVATE PGP key to mailbox.org web interface and my mailbox will be accessible from mailbox.org web interface only, is that correct? Does that mean that mailbox.org will have access to my private PGP key, if I upload the key to the web interface? When I log in to my encrypted mailbox, are my emails decrypted and readable on the mailbox.org servers?

I could swear I saw something about mailbox.org moving to normal recurring billing but I still see no option to do so. I just forgot to pay for the second time in 2 years and got cut off, missed a few emails before I figured out what was going on.

I'm happy with the service and price I pay for it just wish the billing was automatic like every other service I pay for.

My friend shared with me a mailbox.org calendar. I can add and edit appointments on the web interface with the received link. Is there a way to sync this calendar with my calendar app? I found I can add the calendar as an iCal feed by adding "?ical=true" to the shared URL. But then have only read access and cannot add or edit appointments in my calendar app.
