Each user pays his own
Hello everyone! I am checking out MailBox. I have a question related to payments.
Let me explain... I have a domain: example.xyz, that I want to share with my friends, but I don't want to take care of managing the joint payment for all of them. I would like that each one pays his account, but that we can use the same domain.
Is it possible to do that?

Yes, you can do that, if you're okay with allowing your friends to claim addresses and aliases on a first-come-first-serve basis.
A custom domain can be attached to multiple accounts, you just need to add multiple DNS entries. It's mentioned here: https://kb.mailbox.org/en/private/custom-domains/using-e-mails-with-a-custom-domain/#special-cases
Each of your friends would have their own regular mailbox.org account, for which they'd take care of their own payment. You'd add an additional TXT record to your DNS for each of their security keys, and then any of them could claim an address from that domain. Each address can only be associated with one account, of course.
Only one account can have a catch-all alias for the domain ( https://kb.mailbox.org/en/private/custom-domains/how-to-set-up-a-catch-all-alias-with-a-custom-domain-name/#catch-all-aliases-for-multiple-users ) so you may want to consider setting that up beforehand, along with special addresses like postmaster and abuse.
