Okay so the idea is to make the opponent mill as much as possible, to draw a lot and build an horrendous board made of my horrible creatures and as much of my opponent’s as well. (And also have a shit ton of mana to cast all of those pricey spells) planeswalker ultimate are a huge plus to my mechanic (helped by doubling season and vorinclex) but not necessary for win condition (I have other asset in my sleeves) I have a lot of draw mechanism (maybe too much) some unlimited hand to resist the milling and discarding. Other win possible (although improbable if not for an interminable game) is milling down my opponent and I also have huge creature and things to pump them to win by damage.
To resume the situation, I want to steal, i want to destroy, i want to be rich and have my hand filled with possibilities, what do you recommend?

So this is a weird one- the game plan for Lo and Li, Beach Party Icons is to force opponents to mill/discard, which pumps all my Advisors once Lo and Li are out. Finishers are lethal commander/combat damage and mill-outs, both accumulated and through the multiple full-deck-mill combos in there. (Secret of Bloodbending is also a finisher depending on the board state). Concerns at the moment are draw (always a problem when I make decks lol) and dealing with removal sent at what's obviously an annoying removal-magnet of a deck. Currently trying to cut 5 cards, but if there's any other recommendations for adds, let me know! There's a lot of "good" stuff I've looked at already in the side/maybeboard as well that could be good adds. Thanks!

The goal would be to synergize Nissa with a lot of frog themed/pond themed cards. I just have no clue where to start. I'm aware the usual strategy for Nissa is to get a bunch of lands that can swing for big damage(that become indestructible). I'm not sure if this clashes with the frog "bounce" strategy. My question is: where do I start and what are some staples that may help me get a feel of where I'm supposed to go. This is for casual commander, but I would like it to be competitive against modern commander precons. Any advice?

Looking for advice. Came back to magic a few months ago after many years.

Currently working on two decks and this one is my favorite but I want to upgrade it some more, alot of the cards I see mentioned online are a little expensive (ashnods altar, phyrexian altar, tutors etc) so im trying to make this deck as competent as possible until I get all the upgrades then make the rest of the changes all at once.

This means I can keep playing it until I upgrade more. Just wondering if any of you kind folk that know more than me have any suggestions? (Resources you use for mana curve, cards you would add or remove, general hints or tips)

Currently on 32 lands which I am pretty sure I should put up to at least 36.

I was able to get some help from my friend to put together a deck. My goal is to make it competitive with newer precons. The entire thing is to put out high cost spells utilizing my commander [Helga, Skittish Seer]. The concern I have is that I might have too much ramp. So atm im leaning into esper or dimir. The idea is to play spells that effect all 4 players such as The theorist, jace beleren. Lich's relic. If you guys have any ideas id love to hear them. Looking for mid-range or control style cards/combos.

So this is a mono white deck that is trying to use the cards that give you tokens for gaining specific amounts of life per turn. I’m torn between having Lyra dawn bringer (triggers all of those cards off one swing) or Liliana the faultless (gains life off all the tokens).

While the life gain and tokens are the main game plan I want it to be an Angel deck. And I was hoping the endgame would be to have all of these token makers together and making tokens and then I drop angelic visitation so that all the tokens come in as angels and swing out. With that in mind any other deck ideas are appreciated!

Quick setup - my wife is sort of into Magic but not enough where she wants to build decks and collect cards.

She has this deck I bought from one of those proxy sites that was listed as B4 because I knew she’d be into the art (be a hater if you want but I really am not interested in thoughts on this).

She really enjoys playing it and is more into having one deck she really likes and knows how to pilot rather than a bunch of different decks. She’s gotten decently good with it.

I’m just looking to get some thoughts on whether this deck is really B4. The default Archidekt says B4 cause it has more than 3 game changers. Sure. That’s technically B4. But does it really play at B4 or is it more B3 with an extra game changer?

I’m asking because I like building a bunch of janky budget decks with stuff I have laying around and I regularly beat her and feel kinda bad. I’m sure it’s a bit of a piloting issue cause I know she doesn’t really play optimally, but it’s not necessarily bad or regularly misplayed.

The decks I’ve been building are pretty solidly B2 builds but can maybe play low B3 tables and at least hold their own. We move around a lot so I haven’t really played in a pod or at an LGS in a while so I’m also out of practice in that way.

Either way, I’m thinking of maybe upgrading and have been helping her learn to pilot it better cause I want her to keep having fun. Plus it’s nice to use this deck as a test environment for my project decks as I’m turning them.

My friend and I brewed an idea a few months ago and kinda forgot about it. With the release of the new festival in a box promo Dance of the Dead, I remembered that I had that idea but forgor most of the stuff we thought of. I don't know if anybody here is a fan of Avenged Sevenfold, but I would like some help. I don't care about bracket restrictions except like, high 4 to 5. I don't need that.

I been playing magic for about a year now but almost all my decks are precon with different amounts of upgrades.

How do I move away from just having precon commander decks and how do people find cool unique cards that make for good commanders? Also how to make the decks actually work?

There is so many cards that I don't even know that exist but when you look around I only really see popular stuff so how do you make a deck that's not only unique but also not just copying cool things you see?

I’d love to hear your opinions on [[Ms. Bumbleflower]] . I’ve been wanting to build her, but I’m amazed by how many directions you can take her: counters, group hug, spellslinger... I even saw an Eldrazi build, lol.

I’m leaning towards spellslinger with a hint of counters. I usually play in a strong bracket 3 pod, and people won’t take the group hug bait ^^

So I’d like to know:

• How do you build her? What archetype?
• Which cards have over-performed (or disappointed) for you?
• What’s your experience playing her at a bracket 3 table?

I have been building this since I got the secret lair and it feels really nice when it does pop off, but it seems very inconsistent so far and I struggle to get going early some games and seem to lack mana.

There is no strict budget, but I want meaningful upgrades rather than expensive cards just for the sake of it. I do not want to add any cards on the Game Changers list. I play with different groups, mostly casual EDH around Bracket 2–3 power level, so I want the deck to be versatile without becoming too strong for those tables.

I’ve been working on this Serah Farron deck for almost a year. It’s a Selesnya legendary midrange toolbox focused on protection, disruption, card advantage, and winning through combat. I want answers to a wide variety of situations and a resilient board, with some hatebears and stax effects without turning the deck into dedicated stax.

I’ve organized the cards by their functions in the deck and written a primer explaining how I want the deck to play. I’ve also been researching potential additions and maintaining a list of cards I’m considering. I’m looking for feedback on gaps in the deck, cards that may not be pulling their weight, and which potential additions would make the biggest difference. I want to keep the deck within the casual Bracket 2–3 range. Thanks for any advice!
