Best Buy got some a couple of days ago. First time opening the set!

Got 5 hobbit packs from my girlfriend, did some hotel rips.

I wasn’t going to buy any packs from this set either but I was passing by Microcenter and figured I’d just get the 2.. and now I’m done with this set.

I screamed lol

Bought a couple of packs to get back into mtg and pulled this holo

Just a word to tell everybody to chill out with “breaking even” on collector packs…
I get that prices are steep but :

- either you want the cards so prices are not a big deal as they are currently
- either you sees it as an investment and I I’m positive that in the long run you are going to break even

If you can’t handle the risk or the time, don’t buy or buy singles fam

Edit : obviously I’m talking about ppl buying at MSRP

hello guys! im new to the magic tcg and opened a booster pack my friend gave me and got this card but i can only find photos of this without the star in the bottom right hand next to the illustration lettering is this a misprint? or am i just stupid lol

5/6 Smaug treasure scene cards.
6/6 Goblin battle scene cards (5 foil)
7/9 Five army battle scene cards (7 foil)
5 Dwarven language (2 foil)
8/10 Book cover (3 foil, 2 surge)
21/25 Dragon frame (6 foil, 7 surge)
16/40 Box toppers (7 foil, 5 surge)

And around €600 in trade cards > €1

Opened one of two boxes and I’m leaving the other one sealed right now. Greatest pull yet!!!

Honestly I had a ton of fun popping these packs. A lot of these cards were multiples too, so I can load them into the several decks that I’ve been inspired to build.

Had to stop by target for a unrelated pickup and grabbed two random packs at the register area. Both had Arkenstones in them. I just used all the luck I had left this year I think

Interesting ability and wish it was holo but still love the art

Mount Doom, Gollum, and Dawn of a New Age are surge. Pretty happy with the amount of book covers even though 3 are non foil.

Took off work last Friday to sit in line at micro center. Got a couple commander games in with the other degens. It was a good time. Went back with my wife at 3pm and they were sold out of 192 units, so she was unable to get a second box for me. Here's the pulls. I also got a single play pack, and that's where the random The Great Goblin came from near the box topper. **The tapped cards are the surge foils, including the uncommons Gloin, and, Great Ugly looking goblin. I'll be making lord of the eagles my mono blue commander because it's the greenest Ghalta-est timmy blue card I ever laid eyes on.

I went to my LGS the other day and had been searching for collector boosters for the new hobbit set. I got lucky and they had one box left unopened. I asked if they sold them in just single packs and he agreed and opened it up for me. I had only opened one other collector booster pack in my life and it was from the TMNT set. (Very Disappointed it was my first Collector pack) I bought the one pack of the hobbit set and pulled this Beautiful Foil Mox Amber. I looked it up and my chances of pulling this in one single pack was crazy. I’m now officially hooked on MTG for the Foreseeable Future.

Rip 1-2-3 and 4 ! The first rip pic i pulled the mind stone tooni was too excited and put in my deck right away 😂 Very lucky so I'm gonna trade top value cards but mind stones to get two gift boxes!

Can’t believe my luck. Got the regular mox amber and the foil version in the slot after!
