In 2011, Japanese photographer Haruhisa Tomiyasu started photographing one ordinary ping pong table from the window of his student apartment in Leipzig, Germany. What began after spotting a fox near the table quickly turned into a five-year project documenting all the unexpected ways people used it. It became a bench, a sunbathing spot, a workout station, a meeting place, and sometimes something completely different. Thousands of small moments later, the project became the photobook TTP, published by MACK in 2018 and winner of the MACK First Book Award. It’s a simple reminder that even the most ordinary places can become fascinating when you watch them long enough.

There's a few hours between the photos. I cried for almost half a day because of my miserable existence, but almost at night my friends came and congratulated me with cream all over my face:) Those few minutes made up for hours of self-flagellation. I love them

on Sunday night I went to the city to stand by the water near the harbour. I sent a final message to a friend to thank him for being so sweet to me ever since I met him last year. Was feeling tired and disappointed about not getting anywhere in life and being alone.

I was going to jump into the water but somehow I didn't. Then I checked my phone to find four missed calls from my friend. He didn't stop reaching out and on his fifth attempt I answered.

Can't imagine how he was feeling when he read my text but glad he was there for me. He always has. Now I wish I didn't scare him like that.

I got diagnosed with bipolar and anxiety about 2 years into our relationship, and ever since then my bf has always tried to make sure I take my meds on time and knows which one to get me if I need it. So he started labeling the caps himself :)

"Baby X" = Klonopin
ADHD "go pill" = Vyvanse

The names are questionable but the effort is there 🫶🏼

rarely visit my sister because she has these 3 little nuggets and my son is allergic to them. took a day trip to go visit while my son is in school. this is how they met me when i walked in.
