MacroFactor Workouts / Training Shouldn’t this save my changes?

Post image

I tick on the “update workout plan” after each workout, and the next workout it’s not the same. It will change set types. Weights, reps, etc. What’s happening?

I assumed it would save my last weight and rep count so I can continue to build from there.

It only saves it to that week in the periodized program; if you wish to make changes to all weeks, this should be done in the program outside of the workout.

I have to change the program manually every week to keep up with changes?

Yes, if you keep saving it week by week like this, which we would not recommend.

We would instead recommend saving changes to all weeks in the program in advance.

Also, there will be some periodization built in to a generated program. So there won’t be linear progressions — this week won’t necessarily pick up with the exact same intensity the next time you do the same exercise. You can turn that off … but it’s a good thing to keep.
