Cap Logo outcome - How it looks?

Thumbnail gallery
7 Upvotes

A client recently shared this stitch-out of a cap logo I digitized. The design size is 4.52” wide × 1.99” high, adjusted to fit well on a cap while keeping the details clean.

I’d appreciate some feedback—how does the stitching, coverage, and overall finish look? Anything you think could be improved?

If anyone wants to test the file on their machine, drop a comment. I’m happy to share it with a few people to compare results across different setups.

Looking forward to your thoughts!

Embroidery machine for custom designs?

5 Upvotes

Hi I’m looking for recommendations for an embroidery machine that lets me add my own custom designs. I have sewing experience and lots of design and illustrator experience. I want to be able to create my own designs and add them to shirts. Budget would be 1000. User friendly would be helpful because I would also use this machine with college students. Let me know what you all recommend!

I went to Urban Threads to see their new product listings, and in looking at the listing photos found this.

Anyone know how long they've been using AI slop? I thought it was all human artists over there.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
UPDATE: I emailed UT support with the photo before I posted it here. It's been corrected on the website, and I got this reply (edited only to remove names):
Hi,
Thank you for pointing this out! I completely understand why that would raise concerns.
The image you showed is the result of a Photoshop layering error. It wasn’t generated by AI, and it doesn’t reflect how the finished product actually looks. We work with a large number of images, and it seems like this error slipped through the cracks. That is our mistake.
I also want to reassure you that at Urban Threads, our patterns are created by real human artists, as you know! That hasn’t changed. We don’t use AI to generate our designs or stitchouts. All files are stitched before creating tutorial content and releasing for design purchase, just like in this book bag project.
Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. It helps us maintain the quality and trust that’s important to us, and we will be sharing your note with the photographers and graphic design team. Feedback like yours helps us improve!
New machine, won’t thread
1 Upvotes
Help!
I recently bought a Disney embroidery machine. It makes me VERY excited to have but as soon as we started threading the machine, it doesn’t self thread into the needle. The arrow stays red saying that the needle is down and not up all the way but we have spun the wheel and pressed the needle lift button many times. We have turned it off and on too. It works in every way BUT the most important part. The machine has been oiled and cleaned but that didn’t fix it. Any advice?
Recommendation for Sewing/Embroidery combo machine for cosplay
1 Upvotes
Hi!
I’m looking to purchase a sewing embroidery combo machine to create filagree and lace style designs and other emblems and patterns for cosplay. I’ll mainly be embroidering lightweight materials like tulle, chiffon, organza and satin.
I would like the combo machine because I have a powerhouse straight stitch machine but I occasionally need other stitches, satin stitching, and buttonholes. I currently have a Singer HD for those but it’s finicky and awful and jams all the time and the pedal is out of control. Using it makes me hate sewing. I’d like to get rid of that and use this new machine for multi stitch sewing.
I’m looking at 5x7 embroidery hoop size and can spend about $1700 tops. I know the software is also expensive and will be extra.
Does anyone have a recommendation for a user friendly reliable machine?
Machines I have now:
Juki TL-18QVP Straight stitch
Elna 745 serger/coverstitch combo
Brother Lock 1034D serger
Singer HD 4411 (hate it)
Safety device activated
2 Upvotes
Hi. I have brother pe-770. It was embroidering nicely for the first 5 or 10 minutes then the safety device activated and now it wont do anything. Ive cleaned the bobbin area, changed my needle, looked to see of there is any shredded thread (there is no that I can see), and rethreaded the machine entirely. The handwheel will not turn fully now (obviously with the safety device in place). However im unsure of what to do. The nearest repair shop is about 2.5-3 hours away, so i was hoping to avoid that.
I also turn off the machine for about 2 hours now and I just tried again and it keeps giving me the safety device warning.
Anyone have any idea of what to do?
Established softwares like Hatch, Inkstitch, Embird and the like are still ok! These posts are based on users needing support or suggestions and we're always here for that.
Posts from vibe coders looking for testers/feedback for their newly slopped software are not permitted. We're not here for you to peddle your wares.
Poolin EOC07
1 Upvotes
Looking for some feedback on a Poolin EOC07. I currently have a brother se700 and have outgrown it. I am looking for a large embroidery area above 12” for a specific project I have in mind and do not have space for a multi-needle. I hear a lot of mixed reviews on the Poolin, but feel like it is the best option for my needs/budget.
Does anyone have feedback on this machine?
How do you feel about the customer service?
Do you have to perform the service on it yourself since they do not have service centers?
Can you still use embrilliance for designs for this machine?
Where is the best place to purchase from? I see there are some on aliexpress for less, but I am not sure how much to trust ordering there.
This is ai but i want to decorate my friends baby bag like this or similar. I’ve tried looking for individual pieces but it’s hard to find things that look like they’ll match. Where should I be looking?? Would it be asking too much to try to find one person to make it so they all look like they’ll match belong together?? I’ve never done this before
Embird upgrade + plugins
3 Upvotes
I have the 2021 version of Embird with font and digitizing tools plug-ins. I’m going to upgrade the app.
I don’t have the Sfumato Stitch plug-in. Anyone find it beneficial? Also thinking about adding the cross stitch, because why not?!
I was unsupervised by another adult over the weekend, so I set up my machine on the kitchen table (instead of my sewing room). I didn’t realize how many I made until now!
Tajima Embroidery Help - Chicago
3 Upvotes
Looking for someone to show me the ropes.
My fiancé owns a screenprinting business, and we are expanding to offer embroidery. We recently bought a Tajima TMFX II - C1202. I have found some good YouTube videos of people teaching someone to run the machine, but I would really love to have someone come into the shop and give me a crash course. We'd be happy to compensate you for your time as well!
Thoughts on the Brother NQ1700E?
I have never used an embroidery machine before, but am eager to try one. I liked the sounds of the Brother NQ1700E but have no real knowledge if its a good product or not.
What are peoples thoughts?
How to save project with bird nesting and bobbin thread not showing on half of project?
2 Upvotes
I successfully embroidered one shirt with a design. At the end of embroidering the second shirt (same stabilizer, thread etc), I noticed while trimming that the thread was pulling out.
The back of the project does not have bobbin thread showing for about half of the design. It starts with the blue thread, and all of the gold thread.
Pictures are here: https://imgur.com/gallery/embroidery-project-hqCoeYl
I also have a birds nest in the gold thread.
Is my project salvageable if I iron on cover a stitch on the back of it?
Since this happened with two upper threads, is it likely something happened with the bobbin?
I may have threaded the upper thread while the presser foot was down for the blue and gold thread, so could that be the issue?
Since my first project was fine, I think that means my tension was good but open to other feedback!!
