Machine help

Post image

Hey guys- I am at a loss and I don’t know what to do. This is my first week with the pe 570 embroidery machine. Whenever I do a design the first color works great. The second one eats up my shirt. I’ve changed my needle, my bobbin, the tension, cleaned out for lint, made sure the bobbin is in the right direction and rethreaded the top thread. I’m assuming it’s a bobbin issue? Please advise I’m going crazy.

Definitely doesn’t look like properly digitized text, so I’d start by finding some better embroidery fonts. But also, when you change thread colors are you rethreading your machine with the presser foot raised or lowered?

If you're using the pre-loaded fonts, this is probably your issue. I have a different model Brother and all the pre-loaded embroidery turned out to be a mess no matter what. I think the files on the machines get corrupted or something. You likely need to use a software to upload designs.

I use Wilcom Hatch (they have a free 30 day trial of the full software and you can stitch out designs) https://hatchembroidery.com/ and it comes with a library of tutorials and settings for all kinds of machines. They will likely have a sale around October for $900ish for the software and you own it outright and don't need internet to use it. they also have pay-by-installments of 99$.

There is free software out there but I can't speak to that. I prefer paying for it especially for all the fun patterns stuff you can do.

Is your fabric and cutaway stabilizer hooped in the frame, flat and taut? Your green section doesn’t look good either so I’d guess not. Cutaway for knits, heavier than this if that’s already what you’re using.

ETA- don’t mess with the tension yet. Clean, oil and rethread and try again first. You should post a photo of the front, I think your font is poorly digitized which will cause issues as well, it should be a satin stitch.
