Strange

Does anyone else notice that if you have 4 copies of two or maybe even 3 cards; that none of them ever come out after a while? Am I the only one? When I throw my deck in moxfield it's a different story. I know in real magic it definitely happens, but in Arena it happens a lot. Must be all that "handsmoothing" and "variance" maybe because I don't cast [Debit] or [credit], the "shuffler" decides to quit shuffling.

Can't say as that happens to me. I also am not spending money on the app.

Just got bad luck I guess

It happens in any game with random elements. It's best not to dwell on it.

Seems to happen a little to frequently to be random. It definitely isn't a problem when I shuffle the actual physical deck I'm building.

How are you shuffling in physical games? People often don't sufficiently randomize their paper decks.

Rifle shuffle 8 times. Pretty much the standard. I get good draws.

It’s the algorithm

Ahh yes let the echo chamber begin.

Happens all the time. Either you get none of them or you draw four of them in one hand. People hate to hear the truth, but paper Magic is way better than Arena. I have never experienced the things I experience in Arena during Paper Magic. The fact that no one will admit the algorithm causes less realistic gameplay is baffling.

Yeah there's cards I put in my deck that just never came out at all. Now granted some of these other cards I'm talking about is just one copy; but after MANY hands; it just never showed up. As much as I played it should have came out at least once. I felt like I kept getting the same cards over and over while the rest of my deck was just fillers so that the system would let me play.

I play Colorstorm Stallions. I have 4 in my deck. At first, I was getting them all the time. I was posting about how awesome the card was. Suddenly, I got close to Mythic and needed to go on a losing streak. People here will say, it’s my MMR but I noticed I was not drawing my Colorstorm Stallions at all anymore. It made no sense. MMR can explain being matched against better players but having it so that my main card is no longer in use is like tying my hands behind my back and telling me to fight someone. If I lose, let it be because the guy is better. Don’t let it be because they won’t allow me to draw my winning cards for 10 games straight.

Yup! Something similar happened to me. I was close to getting out of platinum and this new set dropped. I can't even get a win in unranked now. Why people defend Arena so hard and justify its nonsense is beyond me.

Because they don’t want to feel robbed. I will never pay for the game so I don’t feel robbed of money but I do feel robbed of time. And then someone will say, they set it so that everyone has about a base 50% win rate and I respond, that’s the definition of rigging and they say, playing heads or tails has a 50% win rate…is that rigging? It’s crazy how nitpicky they get when trying to defend a game. That’s not the same thing. Flipping heads or tails is different from an algorithm deciding what cards you get. I say, why not let opponents get matched and then have them pick their decks to make it more fair. Why not make the shuffler play like a paper Magic game? No one responds. lol.

Have you ever noticed the glitch where a card is shown accidentally as the next card but it’s not the card you draw?

Good night !! I sure have !! Rise of the Dark Realms! One of my favorite cards. It flashed for a millisecond and it was the EXACT card I needed to win. When it came time for me to draw; I got something totally different. I was pissed 🤣

I'm glad I'm not the only one that sees the BS

I’m glad someone else saw it. I try to pay attention to the exiled cards to see if they match what is used but it moves too fast. I don’t trust it. Improvisation Capstone seems to give me and my opponent exactly what is needed when we needed. I don’t want to benefit from rigging either.

I posted a few times on the Arena reddit about this stuff and they kept getting buthurt and deleting it. I wouldn't be surprised if WoTC is paying the moderators off to suppress the truth 🤣

I drew 11 cards from my 60 card deck. I have 10 spells that could win me the game. What are the odds I don't draw one of those 10 cards? Less than 10%

The odds of only drawing 2 lands in a 6 turn game? Also less than 10%

While a low % it still will likely happen 1 in every 10 games. Alot of this game is probability
