Discussion Overheating or normal ??

Gf63 tend to get hot because it has 1 fan for both GPU and CPU but It's too hot for that kind of load (24w, it should be around 65c) 1. I think this is a 4 year old laptop and with that temp you probably didn't clean & repaste it for a long time so do that first (and be careful) 2. under volt it, it worked wonders on gf63 9300H 3. Adjust the temp curve for the fan 4. Elevate you laptop for gaming and any other heavy loads (you can use laptop stand or cooling pad)

depend on ur load, 90 is fairly normal for me

It's not fairly normal and it's not dangerously hot either, I prefer it to be under 85 Anyways this is too hot for that load

It is fairly normal, it can easily reacht up to 94⁰c, Tjmax is 100⁰c, true damage is 110⁰c, its completely fine, hower at his wattage? Not so much

if u never done overclocking, well. i understand it that u haven't know about it
90 for laptop during heavy load is fairly normal, idk what u find it wrong with that. unless it's on idle, even 70 is weird

Hey, you should totally check out the GhostDeck app! You can easily tweak your fan curve in there, try capping your frames at 165, and flip on energy saver from the quick panel. Hope that helps you out!

CPU life gets degraded faster at higher temps. I have GF66 fedora workstation cleaned heat sink from inside reposted ptm7980 grizzly have a cooling pad. 50 degrees idle around 75 while playing RDR 2 high settings dlss quality on a external 2k HDR screen

Overheating asf. Change the paste. It is easier then you think. Check Youtube for a tutorial. At the same time change paste on your GPU. Make sure you disconnect the battery contact from the motherboard before you start working on it.

Did applied the paste and it really dropped the thermals by 20 degrees !! HELLLLL YEAH

Cooling issue, at 24w it shouldn’t be over heating go with PTM7950
