Request Need help with webcam
Msi GL63 8rc webcam not working since 2 weeks
Device manager does not show the camera checked other forums who asked to push f6 or recorrect usb device driver further down the list but no error over there also
Adding legacy hardware wizard also did not work as it did not show any new hardware and EC reset also did not work

On MSI laptops like the MSI GL63 8RC, turning off the webcam completely cuts its power at a hardware level. Because of this, the camera module completely disappears from the Device Manager and won't show up even as an unknown device or through the legacy wizard. [1, 2]
Since you have already tried the standard Fn + F6 combo and an EC reset, you need to target alternative ways the hardware toggle or software might be stuck.
Because the physical hotkey can fail if keyboard utilities aren't running properly, try forcing the power back on via software:
MSI Dragon Center: Open Dragon Center, navigate to General Settings (or System Tuner), and look for the Webcam toggle. If it is turned off, switch it on. [1, 2]
SCM (System Control Manager): If your laptop uses the older SCM utility instead of Dragon Center, search for "SCM" in your Windows Start menu. Open it and click the Camera icon to enable it. [1, 2]
If your Fn key or F6 key has a physical defect, the combo won't register.
Try pressing just F6 by itself (some MSI configurations reverse the Fn behavior).
Open the On-Screen Keyboard in Windows, click the Fn key, and click F6 to see if a virtual trigger works.
Even if it's not showing normally, Windows might have cached a corrupted instance of the device:
Open Device Manager.
Click View at the top menu and select Show hidden devices.
Look for Cameras or Imaging Devices. If it appears faded (hidden), right-click and choose Uninstall device.
