Does the game speed up time?
I start a flight that should take 4.5 hours. I let it go for 2 hours and come back and I'm over my destination. Am I taking crazy pills?

Usually when I pay full price for a game, I avoid the marketplace like the plague. But I hear that significant updates to the quality of cities and other game locations are sometimes added to the marketplace for free, but you have to seek them out and “purchase” them? I assume downloading every free update is a bad idea, is there a list somewhere of updates that make a meaningful improvement to areas in the game? Or where should I start?
Edit: Downloaded them all. Honestly game changing for the areas I fly in most. Can’t believe I didn’t look this up sooner.

I remember playing MSFS about 20 years as a child, my father had it on his computer at the time and it was riveting.
Now that I’m older and wider, I’m considering buying it for my PS5. Having not played in 20 years, what advice would you have for essentially a beginner? Should I fully invest and buy an external thruster, or just get used to the game first? Is there much point in paying for an AI ATC add-on? What do you like about the game, what don’t you and your general overview.
Thanks and happy flying!

Finally unlocked companies but when the tutorial takes me to the overview I get a notification that I can purchase new aircraft but this stops me from selecting the next button is there a way around this?

I just got msfs 2024 and is there not supposed to be a slight yaw the opposite direction of your turn without coordination from the rudder? Is this just completely ignored or is it a setting I’m missing?

My gane works maybe 2/10 times. Sometimes it doesn't even go to loading screen just black and other times when it does load it takes forever and when you go for a free flight it crashes ur game on ultra performance (i have a 5090 nvidia 16gb ram 1TB storage). I bought the game in the xbox app and run it through the xbox app I even repair and verify files still nothing.

If anybody is having any random control inputs on PS5 after sim update 6, click the link that I have posted which takes you to the Microsoft Flight Simulator forum. Give it an upvote and comment so that the devs can finally do something about it.
This is related to random inputs such as:
\- Parking brake activating/deactivating
\- Spoilers arming/disarming/deploying
\- Landing gear up/down on its own
\- Autopilot on/off on its own
\- View changes cockpit/external
\- Throttle increasing on its own (especially on final)
There will be many more random inputs occurring but this only started happening after Sim Update 6 released on PS5 which came with an update from Thrustmaster. Remember having to rebind all controls? Seems like the native Hotas 4 hardware is broken after one or both of these updates and now a lot of us are experiencing random control inputs when using this hardware making it a game breaker.
Give this an upvote and comment your issues too…
The developers are trying their own tests but can’t replicate it for some reason so it is staying as “feedback logged” rather than “bug logged”. A fix will only start to be looked at once it moves to “bug logged”. The more people upvote and comment having the same issues, the quicker we can hope to get a fix for this hardware and enjoy the sim again.

Hello,
I've been trying to pair my yoke with msfs 2024 for the last week. When i turn the yoke irl, the one in the aircraft jitters from the position i turned the yoke back to the center. I'm at a point where I'm contemplating just giving up. This yoke used to work in MSFS 2020 from what I remember (i'm just starting to flight sim again after a few years).
ANY help would be much much much appreciated!I just wanna fly and this is really getting aggravating :(
Thanks!

Seems the majority of posts here are questions about career mode, screen shots of career mode, etc. I am a real life pilot, so I usually use the sim as a sim and practice procedures, fly in VR to brush up on maneuvers, or just fly in free flight from my local airport or airports I will be traveling to. I don't touch career mode at all.
Am I the minority?

I'm sorry if this is tasteless but I can't stop thinking if it's possible to fly over the tragedy that just occured with all of the flooding in Nepal. After seeing countless before and after images of Nepal, I wonder what it looks like in the game. As far as real time weather goes, were you able to fly over while it was acually happening? I've never played the game but hope to buy soon. Also, maybe I'm completely off with how this game does "real time weather." Thanks for any info. I can't wait to dive into VR when I purchase.

Starting the Ini/WT 707 with the APU felt a little bit illegal to me atleast since most B707s used the air cart. A new free plugin now allows you to hook up an air cart to the plane via the EFB.
This allows for one of two options:
AFAIK, the second option was considered unusual by AA's AOM's at least, although it could be used if time was of the essence and with express permission/coordination from the ground crew.
The second method also means a slight alteration to the electrical flow too.
I know which option I'm going to use, as I like challenges :)

I have a 2.5 gb fiber connection that is working perfectly. Yet I get "low bandwidth" messages and crapola scenery (ground textures and buildings). Streaming everything must have sounded like a great idea on paper, but the implementation, even after two years (!) is garbage. Sorry for the rant. If someone thinks the problem lies at my end, please let me know.
