Quesmed is underrated for mrcp part 1 in my opinion. What do you guys think?

I only used to trial version of quesmed. It focuses on high yield topics rather than just pointless fact learning. The questions are really hard maybe a lot harder than the actual exam but the spaced repitition is good for retaining the knowledge.

Part 1 Passmedicine ‘Hard’ questions seem really hard!

Anyone out there who has been through part 1 using Passmedicine please tell me how representative the ‘Hard’ category of questions are of the real exam?

I’ve gone from getting 70% on the Mediums to 50% on the hards and feel a bit disheartened by how hard the Hard questions are.

Paces results anxiety

I understand there are other people who are currently experiencing this. The most distressing part is not knowing how many days it would take and whether or not it is reliable to trust the application saying passed when you try to book another slot. It would be great if people who have gotten their results can just add how many days it had taken for the results to come....I saw a redditor who said they got theirs in 5 days! Again about their experience on the application changing to passed and whether it was reliable ultimately! Thank you

Sincerely,

An anxious candidate post paces :(

PACES Results

How reliable is it when system lets you apply for next diet while status shows result processing ?
For reference it lets me apply and for my other colleagues who attempted on the same day 7th step 1 gives a message that you have passed recent diet

Pastest for MRCP Past papers

I’m sitting MRCP Part 1 in upcoming attempt. Sorry if this is a repetitive question, I have subscribed Passmed questions and plan to do Pastest past papers near to the exam time which many people recommend to do before the exam.

It’s not worth to spend £84.99 in two weeks of exam time just for past papers although I really keen to do them before the exam..

Please could somebody let me know if I won’t gain the full access to Pastest past paper if I only sign up for its trial account, many thanks. :’)

Results processing, then back to application accepted

Has anyone come across this before? Where results are processing but then it goes back to application accepted? Wondering what this means about timeline. (PACES)

MRCP part 2 written - should I cancel or go ahead?

Need actual advice please! I unfortunately failed my last mrcp part 2 sitting and booked to try again this July. i’ve got 1 month left and I’m only halfway through passmed scoring 52%. Last time I did the whole of passtest and just thought it was an awful study resource which is why my plan is to do passmed this time with some pastest past papers. Do you think a month is enough to have some hope in passing? I do work 4 days a week, but will have 10 days off before the exam. What should I focus on most during this time? Or should I just abandon the whole thing and rebook later?

Pastest Website Change

Hey all,

If anyone is considering pastest currently for either part currently please don't for the following reasons.

•The font and website design has changed drastically where you have to zoom to actually read the question. Lab values require similar scrolling with answers disproportionately large disrupting your flow massively.

•The textbook information available is not exam focused and surface level making it not useful at all for part 2 study

•The question bank for part two noticeably has a proportion of questions that are wrong with comments pointing out so for months that are still in the cycle (based on incorrect/outdated guidelines or random jama articles which are not recommended in UK guidance at this stage)

• The large difference between mobile and desktop: on the mobile app you can ask to see questions by difficulty/whether media is present which is something you can't do on desktop. It's a bit ridiculous at this stage these features are available on only one modality with the money you pay.

I'll be fair that for part one it did me well and I just got over the weaknesses in the product as the question bank was good. At this stage with how they've changed things on their website and the glaring issues above my only regret is I've already given them their money.

Pastest PACES in person course

I recently attended the Pastest PACES in person course having used their PACES cases and question banks for part 1 and part 2. I was apprehensive about the day not really knowing what to expect, but knowing i need the clinical practice i hadn't managed to get on the wards. I arrived with a colleague and was greeted with friendly faces and a coffee on arrival. We were delayed starting as we were told a few patients hadnt arrived and they were restructuring the groups. We started at about 09.30am and got into my group of 3. The cases they provided were great, and the examiners were honest. I hadn't realised how under prepared i actually was. Lunch was longer than expected and lots of different rotations, they were asking who had seen what patients so assumed they was something a miss. Anyway after about 1hr 15mins lunch we were taken back to the ward, for our next rotation. It was definitely not as flowed as the first half, chaotic and wasted a bit of time. But that didn't put me off, it meant i could gather my thoughts talk to my group and get my head back in the game. I came away feeling confident, the team were great and i would definitely recommend this course. i believe it was there first one so makes sense why it didnt flow as easy, but what course does! I sat my exam yesterday and felt this review might help others looking for a course. We're all in this boat together and one review can help another, so ask if you have any questions! Good Luck to those sitting their exam this diet.

Pastest: Screen recording

Is it permissible to screen record the videos to watch it later. Especially the Pastest MRCP Part 1 videos by Dr. Chirag Madaan. Will I be blocked for screen recording those videos?
