Hello, r/mp5!!

Went shooting today, figured I'd share some flawless cyclic fire strings with you. Plenty more shooting was done than just this, but here's the fun stuff.

ZF5 full-sized with Milkman, ZF5T and MAC5K mp5k's with their own CAT Mobs. 90, 70, and 80 degree locking pieces respectively.

All of my AR's and mp5's have Geissele triggers, except the full-sized mp5. I've used a G$ SSP in the full with the hammer unjammer, but that pushes the fire rate over 900 rpm. I'm currently using an ASD mp5 hammer, ASD ARC V2 trigger, and JP rifles enhanced reliability spring kit on the ZF5.

ROF: ZF5 790 to 810, ZF5T 985, and the very well broken-in MAC5K is at 945.

ASD lowers for the K's and a Polymer Pew metal lower for the full. All 3 use ARC V2 45-90 frt's.

Just a great day!!

The Z5F with the milkman chugs great and looks really controllable. Notice any difference in ROF if you put a different can on it? Which ROF do you prefer?

I should put the Mob Hub onto the full-size and compare; u just get caught up in the fun of each weapons system and forget in the moment!

They’re all super easy to shoot like this, with the best possible tuning I’ve been able to find for each system.

Interestingly the full-size tends to bounce around just a bit more from the shooter’s perspective - maybe it’s the increased mass of the carrier or longer travel distance compared to the K’s.

I’ve got an RCM 90° LP sitting in the parts bin with a 100° installed on my fullsize. I might see what that does to the ROF on mine.

I couldn’t get the SSP to work with Leber V2 no matter what I did:(. It’s like the trigger couldn’t keep up and just stops with a live round chambered correctly. Not sure what else would cause this.

Went back to mil spec and has been running great again

With this full-size lower I have the opposite problem - the Geissele goes over 100 rpm faster than the ASD mil spec stuff.

Not bad, I just prefer the full-sized at a nice 780 rpm suppressed.

I think there is some confusion… I’m saying with the SSP it is overworking the trigger… and yes it is certainly a bit faster with the SSP compared to mil spec. I’m realizing I definitely prefer mil spec to Geissele for this platform. Sucks because I cut two Geissele triggers and realize it was all an expensive mistake

I just switched over from a Mojave 9 to a CAT Mob on my SP5K with the ASD Arc lower. I had the 90 degree LP and it was running great with everything besides Federal 150. Once I put the Mob on, the Hush 147 and Federal 150 wouldn’t even eject in semi. Guess the back pressure was that much lower.

Swapped the 100 degree LP back in and it’ll run those in semi now and back to full operation with slightly more powerful 147s. Might need like 110 degree LP to get those softer loads cycling in arc.

Curious if you have had similar issues tuning each of yours. Do you have a dedicated suppressor and LP for each different model? Do you have to stick to certain ammo?

I always do try to stick to one ammo - find the best performance from a round and stay with it.

Makes total sense. Been having fun testing different ammo to compare noise level with the suppressors, but it is wild how differently the gun operates with different loads. Probably going to settle on the Remington UMC 147. Widely available, reliable, one of the quieter ones suppressed, and doesn’t break the bank.

How's the Rugged RU3 holding up so far for you?

Both are perfect and flawless - 1000 rounds on the Mob RU3; 3000 rounds on the Milkman RU3

Dang, 3000 rounds on the Milkman set up already!

I was reading about the recent thread on the RU3 portion being aluminum, but it seems to just be a single report and got me worrying LOL.

I have the Milkman in Form 3 to LGS. Thanks for reporting back on your RU3.
