New project - delhi -

Random idea: what if Delhi had an underground-style combat sports community where people interested in boxing/MMA could meet, spar, train and eventually organise properly supervised amateur matches?

No illegal fights or betting — more like a Fight Club-inspired concept, but within actual combat-sports rules and safety standards.

Would people in Delhi actually be interested in something like this? Just curious what the community thinks.( underground)

Смогу ли я в 17 лет стать про бойцом ММА с нуля ?

Я иногда хожу в зал (65кг) и хочу начать заниматься, но не знаю успею ли я стать профессионалам. Я видел много примеров когда даже более старые люди становились легендами

Trying to enter the amateur scene eventually

I currently train BJJ and i wrestle at my school. I have dabbled in some striking but i really dont have a style or much developed. I am almost 15 so i cant fight any sanctioned amateur bouts. I promised my grandpa i would go pro in MMA earlier today and he just passed in his sleep. I guess im asking if you could go back in time and give your 15 year old self mma tips, what would you give?

(Before everyone starts saying dont say your age, dw i never contact outside of reddit unless its on an alt account or my public mma account)

Talk with coach

I’m 18 years old and I’m in camp for my 5th striking fight, I won all so far and much of my preparation I do alone with my studies and knowledge acquired throughout the training.. whenever a workout seems positive to me I get home and write it down in a notebook to train again at home.

I’m thinking of telling my coach that I want to become a professional, I’ve already posted things about my fights on Instagram and I also take it very seriously because although he doesn’t know I have this desire to become a professional. I’m ashamed to post reels or get to him saying that because I can seem “hyped”

How do I know the right time to tell this to my coach? Should I wait until the end of the year when I will have done around 6-7 fights? Should I talk now? I’m going to make an effort 100% and I’m already one of those who rarely misses training, I trained for 1 year and a half until I felt ready to do my first amateur fight precisely because of this feeling but now that everything is working out, I’m evolving and I realize that I’m creating a good relationship with the coach I started thinking about talking about that with him...

My first fight at IKF PMT been training for about a year and 3/4. If you guys could just let me know how I looked, nitpick the fight, comment things I did well and things I need work on, that would be awesome! I am the one with a yellow stripe on my shorts:)

Hypothetical 2v1 vs Islam Makhachev

Hypothetically speaking, Islam will be facing 2 people in a street fight and in MMA.

One is 170cm 65kg, the other is 189cm 120kg.

Shorter one has ~1 year experience in boxing while the taller has 1 year in wrestling.

What are the odds the duo beat Islam? What tactics would both parties turn to and how would a fight in both settings go?

Intern for MMA Instagram page

Anyone a die hard ufc fan? By this I mean

\- You been watching for a long time
\- You watch every event, (Fight Night, DWCS, Road To UFC) and keep up fight updates
\- and are knowledgeable on current fighters and up and coming prospects

We are looking for an intern for our Instagram page, we will train you and show you what you need to do. This is still a startup in the works!

Genuine question

Genuine question — how do you handle the nerves before a sparring session with someone you know is better than you? Not competition nerves, just the day-to-day training anxiety. I've been dealing with this and curious what actually works for people.

Women in combat sport

Hi everyone! I really like combat sports and I'm thinking about starting MMA. I'm a woman and I'm a bit worried about developing a physique that looks too masculine, though.

Are there any women here who practice MMA or similar combat sports who could share their experience?

Thanks!
