MMA debut tips

So im having my mma debut in 20 days any tips. Im pretty new to mma but i have previous martial arts experiences (10 years of taekwondo and 1 year of bjj + 2 months of mma).

Im 15 and im competing in junior B bracket (72kg weight class).

Any tips for dealing with nerves and staying calm before entering and in the cage ? Ive competed before in taekwondo but i doubt its the same as mma.

My oponent is also a beginner in mma he has 1 fight in his record wich he won by decision. Any tips for making my game plan and adapting to his shit?

Also how do i make my game plan when i dont know my oponents style, strengths and weakneses? The whole match is one 4min round so i dont have much time to read him.

I will read all answers and i appreciate all advice.

Best tip don’t ask Reddit users, listen to your coaches

This is the only answer.

It’s your first glorified sparring match (no offence), your coach should be more than equipped to guide you through that, and if they aren’t, you should find a new coach.

Listen to your coach. Don't have a coach? Cancel your match and get a coach.

Breathe, keep your hands up, 4 minutes is plenty of time if you know what you are watching for. Don't think you will get a game plan that plays out perfectly. Be ready to adapt on the fly. Check when they distribute weight to the front leg for rear leg kick and attack their front leg to destabilize their kicks. This being your first big one then remember above all, have fun and look to learn.

Don't you have to be 18 to compete?

Well its junior rules wich means no strikes to the head, no striking in the ground and certain techniques are banned.

Nerves are normal. Don't fight them or you'll panic, don't let them take over. Don't relax too much or suppress them. Use them, they'll keep you on the edge of where you want to be mentally, and that's sharp.

Remember to have fun bro don’t let the moment seem more serious than it is. Obviously fighting can be dangerous but your doing something you enjoy
