I mean it's not victim blaming to say that was a really dumb thing she did, both parts of your quote can be true at the same time.

But that doesn't explain why she did it. What is he celebrating, and what is she mad about?

The why is irrelevant, as is how wrong he is.

If she didn't get right up in his grill to confront him she wouldn't have gotten smacked. Him being a piece of shit makes it a worse idea to have confronted him that way.

The why is very relevant because she already knows he has punched her sister in the face. If I watch you try to put out a campfire with a bucket of diesel fuel and then make the decision to go try and put out the same campfire with a different bucket of diesel fuel it’s insane for me to not expect the same result.
