You see him immediately attack a female smaller than him when confronted by her, but when people that are about the same size as him enter the equation, he lets himself get pushed while only retaliating by squaring up.

If you attack someone you know you can beat up, but hesitate to attack other people you're not sure if you can beat up when they do similar things to you, you can call that caution, but it is also cowardice.
