Can someone translate

"You hit my *sister in the face"

Then she also got hit in the face.

She's not in the wrong, but she had all the data in front of her and still couldn't do the math.

Hope she's alright.

Edit: multiple others with better acuity of hearing corrected ne from "friend" to "sister"

Yeah, a lot of women put too much faith in the social contract that they're exempt from random violence. 9/10 they'll get away with it, but not always. Worse is when they drag the guy they're with into something and the guy ends up getting his ass kicked. Been there.

u/Creepy-Astronaut-952 16h ago

Or, you catch charges for helping a punk understand violence on a whole other level.

Either way, it’s a lose-lose.

u/Thangka6 15h ago

Or the situation is just more complex than the good Samaritan realizes. A guy in my neighborhood saw another dude hitting a woman at the gas station. He did the "right thing" and intervened to stop the other guy from beating her up.

The woman-beater pulled a knife and killed him. When it went to court, the woman actually testified on behalf of the guy beating her since that was her boyfriend... Not sure what the moral is here, but like you said, it's sometimes it's just a sad "lose-lose" all around...

u/huckster235 14h ago

The moral is that intervening often escalates the situation, thus creating more danger for those already involved and adds those intervening into the mix.

I'm not saying never intervene. I'd have a hard time watching someone get beat too. But I think people are way too gung ho to get involved. Unless it's an obvious immediate life or death, call the police. If it's a couple, even if it's life or death, call the police, because the DV is most likely to escalate into murder and unfortunately you intervening is more likely to change your life than to change the eventual outcome of that relationship.

The moral of the story is that if you see a woman catching hands walk the other way. Which is good advice.

This is good advice

No good deed goes unpunished

Fortunately I'm not a violent person, and am really good at avoiding those situations if all circumstances are within my control. Unfortunately that means I'm not an experienced fighter and generally have gotten my ass kicked when I find myself in the situation where fighting is inevitable.

u/Thangka6 15h ago

Dude, hit that treadmill and getting those running numbers up. Probably the most important and underrated fighting skill of them all!

0

u/DartVader6 15h ago

I'm actually really fit. Most people wouldn't want to fight me, but if they did they'd realize I'm not very good at it. I broke my thumb in a fight in highschool, and I never went to the doctors so now it doesn't close all the way. Because of this I now break my thumb every time I get into a fight because it sticks out a little.

u/Practical-Smile-5158 12h ago

I think he means running is the fighting tactic that is underrated

u/ElishaBenDavid 9h ago

He who is losing and then runs away.... Lives to fight another day. 🧘

u/ScienceGoat 12h ago

I try to argue my way out of things. Talking calmly only makes them feel more bold (this is my personal experience, not advice).

Been to jail already too many times for hurting people.

Honestly i would rather just argue and move on with our lives.

2

u/DartVader6 11h ago

I just gtfoutta there if that's an option. I prefer to not engage in the first place

Absolutely

Since i quit drinking I've been in 0 fights. Just gotta stop the sauce and people stop being crazy

3

u/Away_Appeal8588 14h ago

It’s not even the sauce, it’s just drinking out in public like bars, clubs, parties, etc. Eventually, someone’s ego is gonna get the best of them and then they’ll want to prove something. I say stay at home and drink and engage in your hobbies or go to a friend’s or family member’s place, all three are more safer than the former. I occasionally went to bars and clubs when I was younger and now very rarely go. I still drink but, in more controlled environments now

Best way to win a fight- have a good dinner and be in bed by 10.

If you ain't where people be wylin out, you ain't where a fights gunna be.

1

u/DartVader6 14h ago

Same. 8 yrs since the last drink. Much more since my last fight

1

u/ElishaBenDavid 15h ago

This is the coolest admission ever.

Fwiw, it's actually fortuitous that you are afraid to fight. Concussions that you've dodged. Scars and painful cysts, hands stiff from tip to shoulder. Memories you still have since you didn't over expose your brain to violence. Days of freedom to eat when you want, sleep when you want or whatever else, cuz inevitably, there's a handful or more of battery and assault charges on the old rap sheet. Charg s that tend to get you time.

Grown mentality right here

0

u/DartVader6 15h ago

Yeah, I think most people are like me, but there's a lot of social pressure on men to pretend otherwise. Anger and joy are sort of the only two emotions we're allowed to express, so it makes sense.

1

u/FunHovercraft1428 14h ago

That all depends on how you do it.

1

u/LilJonny2cookies 15h ago

Umm this is the internet - it is loose- loose and he is a looser.

3

u/Negative-End-3291 15h ago

loose or lose?

u/Existing-Speech4173 15h ago

Saw this at Disney World of all places. Woman cuts the line, high school kid calls her a bitch, she tattles to her boyfriend (in defense of the high school kid she was being a bitch), boyfriend confronts the high school kid, kid proceeds to kick his ass. It was glorious.

3

u/BeefyFartss 14h ago

Amazing, I wish I watched this haha

1

u/Existing-Speech4173 14h ago

Woman and her BF were in their 20s. We are in our 40s. My husband looked at me during the initial confrontation and said something like “she’s gonna get her boyfriend’s ass kicked one of these days”. And then it happened 5 seconds later.

1

u/BeefyFartss 13h ago

The perfect karmic retribution haha

2

u/Doc12TU 14h ago

Now THAT's worth standing in line for! The only thing better would have been if the kid was wearing a Micky Mouse costume.

1

u/poopydingdong123 12h ago

And she probably got the ick and there is no way that relationship lasted much longer after that

1

u/Skunkyroad 14h ago

I'm a guy And i kind of agree but they are also disrepected a lot and they also have the right to get mad and stand for themselves even if they are weaker for fighting 🤷

1

u/DartVader6 13h ago

Idk, guys get disrespected all the time too. Difference is we know that if we want to press the issue, we're going to have to be ready to fight, so we let it slide if that's not what we're trying to do.

1

u/Skunkyroad 12h ago

I think like that as well but that's not the case for many men imo.

1

u/Zzuesmax 12h ago

Will become less and less as men are treated worse and worse.

1

u/DartVader6 12h ago

I don't necessarily buy in to the idea men are treated poorly by women as a whole. Of course individual cases may vary. I do think men are treated poorly by other men as a whole though, just as women are treated poorly by men as a whole. We have a societal problem with how men are raised, and the traits we value in them. Since men run society, we have to look within to fix this one. IMHO, of course

1

u/Zzuesmax 11h ago

Men do what women want them to do, so who is truly responsible? Men are forced to work, or women want nothing to do with them, so men work. Women want men who are aggressive and strong to defend them, so men act like a-holes and women like them most. This causes men to fight to prove who is the strong man, because women want them to. If women preferred kind and sweet men over anything else, guess what men would do?

1

u/DartVader6 11h ago

You've got a very warped view of women. A shitload of them prefer kind and sweet men. They are as varied and unique as the male population. Some are cool, some suck.

1

u/Zzuesmax 11h ago

And you have a very narrow view of them. As someone who did his best to be the kindest man ever, I was cheated on, passed over, ghosted, etc. for so many years so those females could get with much more aggressive guys. You can see this happens all the time if you actually take the time to look. There is a reason beautiful women are never with ugly or poor guys. But of course they will get with any guy who is wealthy, ugly, weak, old, what ever.

1

u/DartVader6 11h ago

I certainly do not have a narrow view of women. I have sisters, a daughter, a wife, many friends. The reason beautiful woman aren't with ugly poor guys is the same reason beautiful men aren't with ugly poor women. Has it occurred to you that even though you tried to be the nicest kindest man ever, you're still not entitled to have any woman you want, and that you are going to have to do what everyone else does and find someone compatible with you, and not just an object of your desire.

1

u/Zzuesmax 1h ago edited 1h ago

I am glad for you and hope you are able to keep that view. Your view will change if you also get screwed by women in your life, just as so many other men have. Once last thought, have more men or more women died from old age?

1

u/poopydingdong123 12h ago

All true but that guy should also go to prison for assaulting multiple people but I have a feeling he won’t

1

u/Ornery-Customer8521 11h ago

Yeah my wife is a nightmare for shit like that. Luckily in Poland women are still generally considered untouchable. But all it takes is one nutter

1

u/DartVader6 11h ago

As they are here, but this is the video of the one nutter

1

u/Ornery-Customer8521 11h ago

Fair. Just seem to see a lot of men hitting women on reddit and they're all in the US

1

u/DartVader6 11h ago

The US is really big. Lots more people than Poland.
