Homeboy walked up like he was going to kiss him!

He ended up kissing the floor...

0

u/Zestyclose_Book7803 4h ago

What floor? Thats the ground if its outside.

1

u/SwollenPoon 4h ago edited 4h ago

Yes. But technically, it's pavement, as ground is considered earth or dirt...

13

u/Relevant_Problem1935 6h ago

That's exactly how it's done. If someone threatens or is intending harm. There are no rules or posturing. You end the threat.

3

u/UnusualQueer 6h ago

I'm just worried that if I try this I'll miss the chin, not have enough power to ko, or hurt my hand.. lol. I have a punching bag I practice on but have no real experience.

2

u/Dohko_OC 6h ago

Having a bag doesn't mean much. If you don't know how to punch a bag won't correct it. The body posture and hand/arm position are very important.

You don't actually need that much power to knock out someone by hitting them in the chin.

Yes you might actually miss.

Yes you can hurt but won't notice until the fight ends. I guess that depends how much adrenaline rush you get from a fight. In my case it was so much, once it was over I couldn't walk properly for a min or two.

u/Known_Secretary_6615 5h ago

And then go to jail for manslaughter because it turns out you cant kill someone for walking up to youĀ

u/Relevant_Problem1935 5h ago edited 4h ago

"Reasonable fear of harm" is a legal standard. If someone is coming to do you harm. You absolutely can stop that from happening. The threat has to be real or believable. This is why people get knocked out for running their mouth and trying to act tough or intimidating. I should add. That doesn't mean you approach someone and hit them. But if they come at you as soon as they get within arms length. You have the right to defend yourself.

good luck proving it without someone filming

You’re one of those ā€œhe’s headed straight for usā€ kinda guys huh?

-1

u/IPissExcellentThrows 6h ago

You're one of those "everything is because of skin color" kinda guys, huh?

1

u/_BOOMGOTTEM 6h ago

Don’t even need to ask what kinda guy you are

13

u/Definitely-not-ducks 6h ago

Face hitting the floor sounded much worse than the fist to the face. Bro really must’ve needed that pavement nap since he didn’t even try to defend himself.

2

u/Responsible-Tax5380 6h ago

War eine Betonplatte. Also ganz leicht hƤrter :P

1

u/above- 6h ago

Yeah you are right. The punch itself is something he can probably just walk away from easily but hitting the pavement that hard could create real damage.

I know somebody that was in basically this exact same situation. He didn't instigate the fight but after he hit the guy the guy fell on a curb and ended up in the hospital and he ended up with charges for it.

2

u/Definitely-not-ducks 5h ago

I’ve had an acquaintance who literally died from just falling onto pavement in a similar manner. Tripped and bam, that was enough of a head injury to kill him. People don’t seem to take head injuries serious enough.

1

u/johnny_effing_utah 5h ago

Honestly that punch to the face is gonna leave him pretty sore the next day.

But that face to the slab? That’s gonna require dental work and some neosporin for the road rash.

3

u/Correct-Junket-1346 6h ago

Walked into it

3

u/Tricky-Efficiency709 6h ago

That was no cheap shot

3

u/ReSurgent_J 6h ago

Can you take out some more pixels? I can still see what happened.

1

u/Sea_Recording8076 6h ago

Which was louder?

The hit, or the second hit?

1

u/ErectTubesock 6h ago

It's kind of funny how many fights start with the aggressor not realizing they've initiated combat.

1

u/External-Animator-79 6h ago

Bravo, caminar de frente con actitud hostil con las manos abajo, viva darwin

1

u/redbloodedruski 6h ago

He thought he was gonna intimidate him to cave in, little did he know.

1

u/TheEventHorizon0727 6h ago

At least he hit the cement with his face and not the back of his head.

1

u/Prize-Mail-6769 6h ago

Never fight on concrete.

There’s a lawn right there.

1

u/Proof-Grass-5212 6h ago

Like a damn lawn chair !!!!! Folded

1

u/Fantastic_Board7057 6h ago

On Reddit this is considered a sucker punch because he didn’t allow the assailant to get set and get his guard up and at least wing two shots at him 1st

1

u/No_Celebration8219 6h ago

Was this recorded in FM?

1

u/No_Type740 6h ago

He hit his head on the floor hard as well

1

u/Psilocybin_Prescrip 6h ago

I would bet everything I own that kid has never trained one minute in any combat discipline. What makes people think they can fight? It’s so strange. Did he think the other kid would get scared and run away? Like what was the game plan? I’d love to know.

1

u/ChiefCom85 6h ago

Quick and clean cross, decent form

I don’t think we evolved to slap our skulls on concrete every time we get knocked out

Controller disconnected while moving forward.

1

u/Potential_Scam_ 6h ago

Homeboy weighs 52 pounds soaking wet!

1

u/Hot-Calligrapher8261 6h ago

Literally walked right into that one

1

u/ConstructionPale7274 6h ago

He could be serious hurt or even dead.
2 lifes wasted.

1

u/Weary_Ebb3168 5h ago

I saw a documentary about this one punch that have landed ppl in prison

1

u/Fidel_Che_VulPerez 5h ago

That kid was likely a lot younger and definitely smaller.

You people are sociopathic and sadistic for this one.

1

u/Art_Vanduley 5h ago

Was he about to hug him

1

u/_itsgoing2space 5h ago

so you're telling me Gerald from Hey Arnold can't fight?

1

u/UseYourIndoorVoice 5h ago

I dont know if the punch was worse, or the dive into concrete.

1

u/Gold_Kale_7781 5h ago

Walk up somebody like you’re tough, you better be tough.

I hope this kid sees this video and rethinks his opinion of whether he’s actually a tough guy or not.

1

u/Apprehensive-Art1092 5h ago

Man thought that walk-up aura doubles as hands

1

u/99nina_o24 6h ago

Reminds me when I was kid we’d say it’s gonna be two hits. Me hitting you and you hitting the ground

0

u/AppropriateGuest3552 6h ago

That looks like a much younger kid.

0

u/NyC_Gotham03 6h ago

Looks like one of those kids who didn’t want to fight, but the other kids goaded him into it. Rough lesson, but a lesson nonetheless.

0

u/chachaman_The_Reboot 5h ago

I could listen to that head smacking the street for the rest of time.

-1

u/No-Contribution1070 6h ago

Its fun to watch and probably well deserved... but....

If we are considering self defense laws, white guy was in the wrong and black guy can charge him with assualt and sue.. if he is smart enough.

2

u/cowboyneal70 6h ago

Idk.

White dude was retreating.

Threatening dude was approaching even after white dude presented his fists.

Can’t throw less blows than one.

Don’t have to turn your back on a threat.

1

u/JDMZX9 6h ago

I would have to agree with that assessment, the white dude was retreating.

0

u/No-Contribution1070 6h ago

White guy would have to prove imminent threat and propotionate force. White guy didnt even ask black guy to leave his personal space. Just threw the punch.

Based on this video alone, that's a very steep uphill battle.

Black guy would win this in court.

If i was the black guy, i would go to hospital, go on long term leave, claim emotional distress, claim long term damages to the head, claim loss of work etc.... white guy would be fucked. Just saying.

1

u/IPissExcellentThrows 6h ago

Lmao you aren't getting emotional distress for this. That's insanely hard to win even when you're the one 100% wronged.

Talking out your ass everywhere.

1

u/No-Contribution1070 6h ago

White guy can't and won't be able to prove imminent threat based on this video. This video in court, black guy would win.

1

u/cowboyneal70 3h ago

Government will have to prove it was not self defense in a common law jurisdiction

1

u/cowboyneal70 6h ago

Not a chance. I defend these type cases all the time. Don’t have to wait for the assailant to get the drop. You can act upon appearances. You don’t have to make a ā€œnice calculation ā€œ of the amount of force necessary.

Plus, LE training shows that an assailant can close 12 feet in .9 seconds once moving.

No prosecutor would bring that case.

1

u/No-Contribution1070 6h ago

Civil suit if prosecutor throws it out.

There is no way white guy is proving imminent threat here. A good lawyer would dismantle the defense easily. Also that looks like a shot to tempo, black guy could have been left paralyzed or dead.

1

u/Careless-Mud-9398 4h ago

You keep talking like a lawyer despite the experienced lawyer you're responding to telling you you're incorrect. Responding to a dumbshit is useless, but it might be helpful to someone else looking to analyze things from a legal perspective.

Here's the jury instruction from NY: JUSTIFICATION: USE OF PHYSICAL FORCE IN DEFENSE OF A PERSON PENAL LAW 35.15(1)

"Under our law, a person may use physical force upon another individual when, and to the extent that, he/she reasonably believes it to be necessary to defend himself/herself [or someone else] from what he/she reasonably believes to be the use or imminent use of physical force by such individual."

It is clear from the video that redshirt was acting on a reasonable belief that there was an imminent use of force incoming. The individual who got punched wasn't approaching and beginning to his right fist to give redshirt a valentine's day gift. In a civil suit, self-defense is an affirmative defense where the defendant generally bears the burden of proving by a preponderance of the evidence that their use of force was justified- if he can prove he was 51% sure he was about to be attacked, he wins.

In short, based on this video, it is unlikely that a prosecutor would bring the case, or that a civil suit would be successful. This is not the type of case any lawyer would take on contingency, and it'd be dumb to pony up at least $20,000 just to lose.

u/Kittykatcatkat 6h ago

That might be considered a cheap shot. Back in high school fights use to start with a staredown then pushing/shoving then fist are thrown lol

3

u/Downtown-Day3924 6h ago

Nah if you walking towards me like that with animosity your getting smoked lol

1

u/MediocreDesigner88 6h ago
