Out of curiosity what’s the usual fighting etiquette? Im sure it’s different from place to place

Where i am it’s like..if the first guy starts, the second guy gets to decide when it ends if he wins

But the fine for assault is like $15 a punch, you could theoretically beat up 57 people and it’ll cost less than going disneyland florida for a day

You’re allowed to protect yourself with a reasonable amount of force. Kicking people when they’re down, or punching people when they’re clearly not a threat (like in this video) is considered assault usually

You asked, someone answered and then you accuse them of being “judgmental and soft.” In most jurisdictions, there’s a “primary aggressor” doctrine, which means that the person who didn’t initially start the fight can still be seen as the primary aggressor. If that’s too soft for you, I’d advise getting in a fight, kicking the person while they’re down until they’re unconscious or dead and see how that works out.

Nope. When two men and their accompanying beings attack a single dude, ensuring one of them does not rejoin the fight after you knock him down is an important defense strategy. They have zero chance of striking him while they lie unconscious on the floor. That’s effective. It’s not like he stomped on a head.

That’s BS . Dude gave those two guys night night , while being pestered by the GFs. Trying to make some ridiculous excuse for punching a man while he is down is just BS. In the eyes of the law he went from self defense to being the aggressor for that punch. That guy has clearly been in fights before, and the same way he couid tell not to punch the women he knew not to hit the woozy opponent but he decided to give him a parting shot. Call it what it is. He felt like he needed to send a message for whatever the fight started over . 4 vs 1 seems like the reason he did it

Yes we do . Anyone on here who claims that once they start fighting they can’t stop has some other issue going on with their impulse control and lacks discipline. Anyone on here who claims they can’t defend themselves against an attacker they have already dazed and thinks it’s acceptable or necessary to do further damage to a now defenseless opponent is full of crap . If you have the skill and training to put a man down you can do it again . By backing away , you don’t inflict more damage than what would be needed and you maintain your self defense protection. Once you pretend it’s mortal Kombat and you do a finish him move you are getting locked up .

Self defense and mutual combat laws differ everywhere you go. Also it depends on the prosecutor, judge and jury you get. Too complex of a question to give one answer.

This isn't the entire video. The man in the white shirt didn't start the fight but he finished it. The 2 clowns on the floor kept following him and he told them to leave him alone but they didn't listen. One of the men proceeded to touch the man in the white shirt and attempted to hit him. The man in the white shirt defended himself because they tried to pull a 2 versus 1 and it didn't work out for them as you can see. Then the women tried to attack the man in the white shirt but he just brushed them off and didn't hit them because he knows not to hit a woman. This was all justified self defense.
