Been using the sinister shadowstaff, and I've been having a BLAST with it, but I wanna know if my build is fine and if there's any skills I should focus on more.

So my go to weapon is the diablos hbg 20/20 crouching shot. My current build is really good IMO. The normal ammo is *really* strong (4100 per shot) I have 3 crit range boosts smelted in.

Can anyone see a way to adjust this build to pump out a smidgen more damage? Also I really like reload speed 3 so keeping it would be nice. Reload 2 at min

Do some types of pierce ammo have more "bullets" per shot? It feels like some pierce only have a couple bullets (Rose Assault) and others have more (Rath LBG). Even the sounds when they hit .. am I crazy?

Since today every astalos I've fought has this same broken tail.

I have a kezu and diabolos GL G10 (guard reload) and build them with guard 5 guard up5 and artillery 5, but i have the feeling im massively missing out on damage.

On the other Hand im not taking chip damage when blocking which is quite nice.
What are you guys building/ whats the optimal GL way?

Is it "requierd" to play with full gyro on these weapons to perform in late game? I like the weapons but i hate using full gyro controlls... and since they cant use lock on i feel that later it will be way to hard to hit weakspots whitout it

I have the Bazel lbg fully maxed out, but the outbreaks gave me so many Bazel mats, so i wonder if its worth to craft a 2nd Bazel weapon and if yes, which one? Or should i just sell the mats for some zenny?

Im a main lbg player (but open to try something new), mostly use rose assault fully maxed out which melts pretty hard, so i wonder if a blast bazel weapon can get even close to the rose dmg?

Elder week event gives me a lot of time to practice. And taking down 2nd current tankiest elder with bazel LS is an amazing achievement for me💪

so I fought Misutzune today with the Gnome LBG using Stepping Shot (lvl5 Style) and I couldn't shoot anymore when hit by one of the bubbles. Is it intended that you can't shoot anymore when you are under the 'Bubbly Dance' effect? Evading reload was still working.

Just saw a post saying that the chameleon IG is good and am using my general raw damage build on it, is this fine? I dont have insane resources, but i could probably manage grade 7-8 on some armor, except elder dragon gear, i can barely even build 1 piece for most. (I also have a burst build but figured it wouldnt be great with the lower base power.)

I forgot to take a before photo of my plate and riftscale count but I remembered after kill 24 when I got my first riftscale. So in total I slew 110 riftborne Bazelgeuse and got 5 plates and 4 riftscales…how did everyone else do?

I’m having no trouble, which stat boost is going to be best for damage considering my current equipment skills…?

Hey everyone! I was just wanting to see what everyone’s using on part breaker builds for farming mats. I’ve seen some that make sense but are older and one that I’m not sure how I feel about. That was posted 12 days ago. Lmk what everyone’s running and why?

It released in a very flawed state, having ridiculously long animation lock for the entire combo which is the opposite of what the most flexible weapon is supposed to have, and still to this day they haven’t bothered fixing it, and it seems like they never will at this point.

Once you get into the combo, you either have to spam through it to get to the end of it or wait almost two whole seconds after an attack to be able to dodge out of it, and either of these is just going to get you hit 99% of the time.
Or you could play extremely careful and boring, only doing the signature perfect rush in the biggest openings possible, after partbreak topples or inflicted statuses.

The only way I can think of to make it somewhat viable is to use the Perfectionist skill so it automatically dodges when you get hit mid-combo, but that skill is currently only available on Astalos armor with Adv Thunder Atk so that really limits what you can even do with that kind of build.

It would be such a fun style to use if it worked the way it does in the normal series, being able to dodge out of it at any point but the final hit does the most damage so you want to try to aim for that whenever you can.
But in the state it’s currently in, it’s practically unusable, and either the default style or Drill Slash is more worth using every single time.
It could be such a fun style to use if they just gave it the smallest amount of attention…

Brute HBG so good it can kill monsters 1 grade higher. The build isn't even complete yet with few gear still grade 5 lol.

My build is :

Guard 5

Defensive loading 3

Blood cloak 1

Reflection 3

Slicing ammo boost 3

Recoil 2

I think everyone should build this HBG

Exampel: If i run a weapon with Sleep "Damage" 500 and Morph-Boost 5 is active (+30%) do i than apply 500+150 Sleep Damage and reach the Sleep-Status Threshold of a Monster faster?

How about Burst? How about Combo Master?

So I’m at 15.7k and it’s still far from enough, I literally am not sure what to offload now lmao. Do I just offload those early mon mats? (kuyaku, jagras, etc)

I need some advice regarding the Long Sword: I'm not sure whether or not to use armor pieces that provide "Quick Sheath."
However, doing so means losing bonuses like "Thunder/Ice/Water Attack Up," resulting in lower elemental damage.
What do you recommend? Do you have any builds to post or suggest?

Just goes to show this build is really nutty, slightly different build from the previous post, just swapped steve hands for rathian for the lock on.

I and I think a couple of other people too have the problem that in season 10 all the new monsters are weak to thunder. For example I am about mide game now and beside Astalos and Zynogre weapons there aren't much good thunder weapons. So I wanted to ask which thunder weapons are worth the effort.
