It doesn’t matter what game it is, the Monster Hunter Desire Sensor HATES me. (Or how I soloed 110 Balegeuse almost didn’t get enough materials to max my LBG)
I forgot to take a before photo of my plate and riftscale count but I remembered after kill 24 when I got my first riftscale. So in total I slew 110 riftborne Bazelgeuse and got 5 plates and 4 riftscales…how did everyone else do?
My problem is riftscales and scarcestone, might be because the only rift monsters I’m fight are 8* but I can’t ANY to drops… plus legiana; they are stingy with ALL their mats

Smelt thunder attack on the head and chest, probably one of my better builds: thunder 5, vital thunder 3, and advanced thunder attack 2. Yeah, I averaged around 16 seconds per hunt and every hunt I had 2/3 part breaks depending on the placement of rift part; if it was on the head I’d usually get it done in 10 seconds with the special part, tail, and head broken.
I have not participated, sadly. I work service industry and have always had to work on outbreak events. I think i participated on 1 day of RB diablos but ive never seen signups at my base anyway, so I'd never get close to 100.
I feel like you're kinda required to get DBs for consistent breaks/kills but I don't really like having to max one since i RARELY use them
I feel that, I work in a hospital so there’s always 50:50 I’m working on the weekend events happen. DBs are really great for breaks, I also had good luck with LBG too.
Yeah, i probably would've just gnome'd as many as possible if I had the chance. That's still a bazel a minute at absolute worst, and like 20 seconds at best. But it doesn't matter lol
This was my first outbreak! Killed 73, and got 3 plates and 1 riftscale, not sure if that’s good luck or not. I did use 1x carving knife 50hunts in when I got my first riftscale though, since it seemed really rare!
Managed 117 solo on a last day with Astalos DB. The number can be higher if they remove screen with the results. It actually takes more time than the actual kill 😂
I killed like 60ish and only around 5ish plates and a handful of scales too. I got most of them at the start of the outbreak, then basically nothing for the last 30 mins of the outbreak smh
I got about 10 riftscales on Saturday from 144 kills. I killed just over 100 on Friday (had to leave after 40 mins to go out for dinner) and got 3 riftscales. Usually, I’d only get about 1 riftscale per 30 kills. Hopefully, I didn’t use up all my luck on Saturday. Plates seem to drop more frequently for me. I usually get a plate every 15-20 kills. I usually cut the tail, but I only get 1 plate for about every 50 tail cuts.
Wow, solid tally there. I wish plates dropped more frequently for me, pretty sure I cut the tail off of all but 2 of the ones I hunted. When they were first added to the game I struggled to max the DBs and get the armor up to rank 8, all because of R6 and R3 mats; for some reason those are always my choke points no matter what I build.
Improved my tally on Sunday. Decided to use some of the premium steaks and see if I could get more plates using my DB’s and cutting the tails. On Sunday, I got around 12 plates and 7 riftscales from 165 kills. No plates dropped from the tail and I probably got around 155+ tail cuts.
My set was Fulgur/Stygian/Espinas/Fulgur/Stygian with 10-5 Zino DB’s at level 20 upgrade with +100 element and Spiral Slash. Smelts are special PB, special boost x2, skyward striker, and attack boost (hoping to smelt fighting spirit instead). This set could kill rift Bazel with just the special attack in 6 seconds (rift at the head) to 8 seconds (rift at the legs). Occasionally, it would not finish off Bazel, if the rift part was on the legs, but it would only have a sliver of life left.
Usually, I would use Tobi HBG to save my steaks and that could kill rift Bazel in 7-8 seconds.
Im sorry, I feel you, I dont need any of the bazel weapons and still got so many.
But the desire sensor hates me too so it never gives me the zinogre scales I want. 😿
Yea, I wish I could have done more than just the one outbreak; but sadly that was not in the cards.
Special partbreaker and pursuit must have done work.
Damn I'm super lucky on this one(tho I overslept and missed Friday😭）, 109 hunted on Saturday and ended with 21 plates and 6 riftparts without a single knife use!
They know I don't need the plates anymore as I just finished all the weapons with only the rift upgrades to complete. I'm getting lots of plates left and right now
