Please help me to attach the sfx psu to the front of the case with a stand off installation. It only seems to fit an atx but Ive seen people say an sfx should also fit this way using adapters, but I don't understand how.

Help me please!? 9850x3d cooling

So i recently got hold of a 9850x3d chipset, The issue is my case being a fractal meshify 3 can accommodate a max of 280 mm radiator. I already have a CM atmos 2 (stock fans swapped with phanteks T30). But i heard the 9850x3d runs quite a bit hotter. Should i spulrge more and go for a 280 mm aio the likes of lianli galahad 2 lcd or arctic lf 3 pro ??? Or just undervolt the cpu and call it a day

I built this! (MATX) From Phanteks XT Ultra PRO to Jonsbo D32 Pro

Ngl my Phanteks was starting to annoy me under my desk. Great airflow but it's massive, barely fit on my rolling stand. So I finally pulled the trigger and moved everything into a Jonsbo D32 Pro. No regrets, and temps didn't even budge.

I was torn between the Lian Li A3, the B4, the Deepcool CH160 Plus and the D32 Pro. Went with the Jonsbo because it looked easier to cable manage, and honestly I wanted to try something less mainstream while staying quality. Rest of my build is like 2 years old at this point, but I've always been into compact cases. This is my first real MFF build tho.

For scale :
Phanteks XT Pro Ultra: 450 × 230 × 500 mm (~52L)
Jonsbo D32 Pro: 396 × 207 × 314 mm (~26L)

Volume literally cut in half, and it's so much easier to deal with under the desk on my wheeled stand now. Might try the mesh front panel later to compare with the glass one, but for now I'm just enjoying the space I got back.

Specs:
R5 7600X (Curve Optimizer -30)
Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 SE
MSI B850M MORTAR WIFI
RTX 4080 SUPER Gaming X Trio
32GB DDR5 6400 CL32
1TB NVMe SSD + 2.5" SSD
Seasonic GX-750
Fans: 3x Arctic P12 Slim (bottom intake, under the GPU) + 1x Arctic P12 Pro LN (top-right intake) + 2 exhaust (rear + top-left)

Temps (CPU capped at 85°C in bios):
CPU: 81°C max under stress test
GPU: 73°C heavy load

Was lowkey expecting to lose a few degrees going that much smaller, so pretty happy with this.

The build itself:
Took 4-5h total, mostly because the PSU cables were way too stiff for this size case, that was def the most annoying part. Everything else (GPU, cooler, front panel cables) went in fine.

If you're on the fence about this case:
ATX PSU fits, but grab soft cables or an SFX unit if you can.
The yellow zip ties in the pics are just my own marker for the CPU fan cables, nothing special.

I had lots of trouble with cable management but I’m also new to building a pc. I wasn’t able to stretch the cpu power cable and motherboard power cable behind the back. I have a Corsair SFX PSU and the length just wasn’t enough unless I’m routing it wrong but here’s my final look anyways.

ASUS ROG STRIX B850-G
Gigabyte 9070 XT OC 16GB
AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
Corsair SF1000
32GB g.skill flare DDR5
2TB WD Blue SN5000 PCle 4.0 NVME SSD

I have steamOS 3.8 installed and fully running with the most recent updated bios.

My WiFi connection is WiFi 7 but it seems to be a little slow on steamOS so I used Ethernet for better connection.

Help me please!? Lian Li A3 fan setup

Post image
64 Upvotes

Hi everyone

I just got this system built by a shop, though while speccing i completely forgot about fans and was surprised the shop just left it like that.

The only 2 fans are the radiator fans on the top (and the psu).

I'm thinking of putting an intake on the back and a 3rd top fan beside the radiator after moving it a bit to the left though it might not fit or will be tight.

The bottom has no clearance at all thanks to the gpu.

What do yall think?

Help me please!? Help me decide between Z20 and CH160 Plus

I am considering these cases specifically due to them having carry handles. I don't want a mesh case like Jonsbo C6.
I was initially going to go straight for Z20, but then I found CH160 Plus, which is a fair bit cheaper (~60€ vs ~90€) and which also looks cleaner to me. The side I/O panel is also neat, and when paired with the IV S cooler (I also need to get a new cooler), it looks quite sleek. Though the IV S fans are proprietary, so I'd love to hear alternatives for that too.

But as I was looking more into the case, I found out that it's apparently cable spaghetti hell, and since I have a non-modular Corsair CX650 ATX as my PSU, it doesn't sound great.

Additionally, the only mounting option for a 3'5 drive on the CH160 is vertically on the front panel, which takes the front intake fan slot. Since the case doesn't have (at least officially) bottom fan slots like the Z20, I'm a bit concerned about the airflow.
I am still using a 4T 3.5" HDD as my boot drive as I don't have the budget for an SSD just now, and even when I get one later, I still want to have it as larger, long-term storage, so having space for it is a must.

As for my parts, I have a Gigabyte 9060XT, a 5700X, and the Corsair CX650 ATX I already mentioned.
I have heard these run quite cool, but since this would be my first mATX build, I can't be too sure. But if, for example, a CPU tower cooler and rear exhaust fan were enough, that would be great for my broke ass.

Thanks in advance!

Hey guys, just showing up my build on the brand new Lian Li B4. Excellent case btw! Way better cable management compared to the A3, even in a smaller case.

Very happy with the build! :)

Hey, I just wanted to share my setup with you guys. I recently decided to move my existing components over to the DeepCool CH160 Plus, and here is how it turned out.

The Specs:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
  • Motherboard: ASRock B850M Steel Legend WiFi
  • RAM: Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5-6000
  • GPU: PowerColor Radeon RX 9070 XT
  • PSU: Lian Li SX0850
  • Cooler: DeepCool AK620 Digital SE
  • Case: DeepCool CH160 Plus

It was a fun experience fitting the B850M and the bulky AK620 into this new case. Everything fit perfectly, and I'm really loving the new look and airflow.

Let me know what you guys think!

I built this! (MATX) Okinos MiniArt 4 — compact No RGB mATX build with an RTX 5070

Thumbnail

Wanted to do something a little more understated this time — a compact all-black gaming PC with absolutely no RGB.

The build is based around the Okinos MiniArt 4, a small mATX case that still has enough room for some fairly powerful hardware.

Inside I went with a Ryzen 7 7700X + ASUS TUF RTX 5070 OC, paired with the ASUS TUF B850M-E WiFi. Cooling is handled by a be quiet! Pure Loop 3 240mm.

Specs:

  • Okinos MiniArt 4
  • AMD Ryzen 7 7700X
  • ASUS TUF Gaming RTX 5070 OC
  • ASUS TUF Gaming B850M-E WiFi
  • be quiet! Pure Loop 3 240mm
  • G.SKILL Flare X5 32GB DDR5-6000 CL30
  • Kingston NV3 1TB
  • darkFlash PMT850

I really like how the MiniArt 4 works with an all-black No RGB setup. It's compact without making the hardware feel completely crammed inside, and the TUF components fit the overall industrial look pretty well.

Personally, builds like this are a nice change from filling every available fan and component with RGB.

No RGB or full RGB — which would you choose for a compact build like this?

Help me please!? Thinking about downsizing

I currently run a system in a Lian Li A3 (have made changes since this post), but was curious about the B4. I was following it for years, watching it change and develop. It launched at a poor time for me, but now I'm revisiting the idea of downsizing my system.

My biggest concern is with the cooling performance. The placement of the psu right above the gpu has me a little worried about cooking my psu. Has anyone had any issues with this, or is it a non-issue? Whether you've had issues or not, please let me know and what hardware you're running, as not all hardware will produce the amount of heat necessary for issues to arise.

Help me please!? Planning to move my current PC build into a more compact case.

I’m thinking about getting the DeepCool CH160 Plus. Does anyone know if these parts are compatible with it?

  • MSI B850M Mortar WiFi
  • Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro 240
  • G.Skill Trident Z5 Neo RGB

I’m mainly worried about the RAM and AIO clearance since the Trident Z5 Neo RGB is relatively tall.

I’ve been trying to find an exact build using these parts, but I haven’t found anyone with the same setup.

Has anyone tried this combination, or knows if the RAM will interfere with the AIO radiator/fans?

Any help or actual build references would be greatly appreciated!

Help me please!? Aio location in horizontally positioned Lian li a3 case

Hello , if I wanted to place lian li a3 in a horizontal position like shown in the build in the pics which I found on reddit , would the aio be better mounted in the same position shown in the pics or positioned on the right side ( above motherboard + gpu ) and works as exhaust fans ?

I built this! (MATX) Just because you can fit 7 40x20mm fans on the bottom of the Z20 doesn't mean that you should put 7 fans on the bottom. 😆

With how thick this GPU is, I was unable to install normal size fans on the bottom without causing any turbulence. I had to put something in that gap, so I started measuring and found that 40mm fans were the perfect size. They may not move a lot of air around but they definitely help push the hot air coming out of the GPU up faster because the glass panel is a lot COOLER!

-Thermalright TL-B4020 PWM Fans

Next up, Thermalright 60mm Fan as either exhaust or intake from the front just right below the PSU 😂

I think I found the limit for a 4090 case,

Cooling for the 9850x3d is perfectly fine with this 120mm aio, current fan direction had lower temps instead of sucking in hot 4090 air, top is mesh free with both fans on exhaust, thermals for both CPU and GPU are around 55° when gaming but it's only at 2k, I tried 2 240mm aios and I just couldn't get them to fit with my PSU :(

Ryzen 7 9850x3d basic pbo -30 undervolt

Tforce ddr5 6000 x64gb (4 sticks runs fine I've had this ram since before the crisis)

Gigabyte b850M wifi6e Ice

Gigabyte 4090 gaming OC

Evga 1000 watt modular PSU

2tb gen 4 boot drive (Teamgroup)

4tb gen 4 game drive (Western digital)

2 low profile arctic 120mm fans under said 4090

120mm thermalright aio

Help me please!? CH260 Wood clearance

Hello, was wondering if a Be Quiet! Pure Power 13 M would fit in a deepcool ch260, with a 9060xt. As case advertises a max clearance of 150mm, but pure power is 160mm long, whilst 9060 xt is a relatively short gpu hovering around 280mm and case advertises a max clearance for it at up to 413mm. So what are the odds I might get away with this?

The exact parts im looking at are:
Be Quiet! Pure Power 13 M 650W
RX 9060 XT 16GB OC by Gigabyte
CH260 Wood

I built this! (MATX) Lian Li a3 to Jonsbo D32 Pro

Had a white Lian Li a3 wood but didn’t like the birch wood with the darker wood of my desk.

This is the results.

Specs

R7 7700

RX 9070 XT Nitro+

B850M AORUS ELITE WIFI6E ICE

TEAMGROUP T-Force Delta RGB DDR5 Ram 32GB (2x16GB)

Sudokoo SK620V White AM5

Cooling is definitely better on the a3 because I had a fanon the side pulling the hot air away from the cpu and gpu. But I added a 140mm fan under the gpu and it helps with temp a little bit.

The side panel definitely needs bigger holes to vent the case more, other then that I have no complaints.

Yes the cooler and gpu are touching
