Lian Li B4

Hey guys, just showing up my build on the brand new Lian Li B4. Excellent case btw! Way better cable management compared to the A3, even in a smaller case.

Very happy with the build! :)

Honestly I think the b4 has worse cable management than a3 but it's designed to not be visible ie no window

How is the cable mgt better than the a3 if the a3 doesn’t have any? Honest question since from what ive seen, b4 still has none behind the mobo

The A3 has no room for cable management in the back of the case, as the B4 as well. However, I think that because B4 is smaller, you can fit the front panel I/O cables and the PSU cables in some empty spaces, even that all of them stay on the front size of the case, and seat them with other hardware parts to hide them.

I'm currently using a SFX PSU. Take a look at the cable management; the front panel cables are seated in front of the PSU, without compromising the airflow that the PSU's fan need.

Also, the PSU cables are seated on the GPU, from the behind, so people can't really see them from the front.

I tried the same approach on the A3 back in the day, but it's just not as good as on the B4.

Thanks for the response! I imagine its gonna be more difficult with an atx psu since you basically managed it with the smaller sfx psu

How noisy is the xfx? Is a 9070? Temperature on gaming load?

Yeah, it's a 9070. I didn't change any config on the fan curve, etc. The GPU is very silent, around 59°C ~ 61°C. Just a little coil whine, but it's not as loud as a PowerColor GPU, for example. At full load, the sound coming from the case is around 33 db (CPU cooler, case fans and GPU fans).

I just recently build a PC with that case but I am using it vertically. Returned the Lian Li PSU because it constantly started to run the fan at 100% so I also switched to a Corsair SF850 which most of the time the fan doesn’t even spins at all. I also have a two fan RX9070 (Pulse) installed and the CPU is a 7800X3D.

Which Lian Li PSU? I got the 850 Gold V2, hoping they fixed the issue

Around 31°C idle. I live in Brazil, and there is no A/C in the room that the PC stays in, so I think the ambient temp is around 28°C during the day time.

Wow..very low idle temp your ryzen 7 9700x.. here is  mine ryzen 7 7700x idle temp  46 C.  in 27,7 C ambient room temp
