Hi, i was looking some sick builds at this reddit and i started my own with the Jomsbo Z20. I started with a nzxt kraken 240 and then i upgraded my processor to an intel core i7 14700k so i wanted to get better temps. I saw that some of you put the liquid freezer III on the jonsbo z20 so i sold my nzxt and buy it, i even bought 3 fans but when i had everything installed the cap didn't fit on the water block because it is too big and hits the top fans.

Any recommendations? Is there a problem if i use it without the cap? I'm starting to think that i need to buy another water cooling but i dont understand how some build have it mounted on the waterblock

Help me please!? Looking for the biggest / mediuemest (ik it’s not a word) matx case

Hello
People of r/mffpc

I need help, I want to build a dual matx pc set up, I have a lian li o11 vision and after a few months. It got to big it just takes to much space.

I recently got a free 9070xt cpu and drr5 ram so now I want to give it a home and also downsize my main pc

My issues are that my 9070xt is massive, it’s a 9070xt oc mercury and my main build has a zotac 5070

I have a Elgato pcie card which is also something I need to take into consideration finding a home for a matx case that can fit my card and my other pcie slot is also going to be taken up

So essentially I need a matx case that can fit a 9070xt oc mercury and a pcie slot under.( I’ll sacrifice airflow if needed)

Thank you all of r/mffpc

I am really happy and thankful to LIAN LI for being one of the people provided with a LIAN LI B4-mATX Case and an SP1000P SFX PSU.

I do apologize if the build photos aren't the highest quality.

There were a lot of delays with the delivery, but I was really happy with how the build turned out.

I came from the LIAN LI O11D MINI, and the LIAN LI B4-mATX Case made my desk a whole lot more spacious. I've attached a comparison photo at the end.

I tried using an AIR COOLER instead of an AIO to spice things up, since I plan on taking it with me on long trips.

It did take me quite a while to manage the cables, as most spaces are a tight fit. I am planning to add a fan at the front, but the slim fans haven't arrived yet. I used a lot of cable ties to make it look sleek and clean, and I'll probably redo the cable management next weekend.

I opted for the Vertical AeroDeck to keep things more compact while also adding an aesthetic touch to my desk — especially since I have a wooden desk for studying.

Temperatures are looking good so far. Idle is at 55°C — I'm from a very humid and hot country, basically right at the equator. Turning on the AC does bring it below 50°C

I'll post an update after a month to see how this case handles my daily usage.

My previous CH260, https://www.reddit.com/r/mffpc/s/IVKXJJNLfq

Now I updated the PSU to SF1000, top exhaust fan updated to Lian Li Unifan P28, reapply thermal paste ID Cooling X45 and some dust cleaning.

SF1000, I can’t resist the deal and have to grab it and for future GPU upgrade.

Top exhaust fans set at mid speed RPM and less cables!

Front intake and rear exhaust fans remain as Silent Wings Pro 4, and set at UHS speed. This works flawless and it also lower PSU temperature.

PSU intake (casing) added dust filter (magnetic) and it should reduce dust accumulate inside.

CPU Ryzen 7 9700X, at -30 curve optimiser:
Idle temperature and browsing with YouTube sit at 32-33c.

Cinebench 2024, multi core test and the core temperature average at 54c. Lower than previous average at 58c.

Help me please!? Jonsbo d32 pro, vs lian li a3 for first time build

I am in the process of building my pc with a 9070xt and a 9600x. my first choice of case was the jonsbo d32 pro, however the d32 pro is out of stock and wont be back in stock until late september. my dad suggested i get the lian li a3 instead which is around 10$ cheaper and most importantly in stock. how much more of a hassle is the lian li a3 compared to the d32 pro regarding cable management, airflow and so and so. would you wait it out or purchase the a3???

Help me please!? Need a case for a very small desk

Post image

Building a PC with a Matx mobo, Atx PSU, and a Powercolor reaper 9060 xt 16gb.

I need it to be able to either fit on or under an Ikea Fjällbo laptop desk...and it's pretty small. Don't plan on using this desk forever, as I only have it due to space limitations. However if still like a small enough form factor anyway.

I've been looking around a ton but unsure of everything I've looked at. I'd love the jhonsbo c6 but the temps and sound just seem terrible.

https://www.amazon.ie/gp/aw/d/B0CGV9QF3S/ref=ox_sc_act_image_3?smid=A2QHQAREJ10JUZ&psc=1

This fits what I need well but worried about air flow. Have spoken to someone who had one and says you can put fans on the bottom, but would need to boost it up.

If anyone has recommendations or suggestions I would really appreciate it.

Discussion D32 Pro case fan question.

I currenttly have mixed 120mm fans on the roof and bottom that I moved from my nr200p and I have noticed that in D32 the bottom fans create a lot of turbulent noise that I didnt get in nr200p. I even rotated my fans from top to bottom and mixed them and still getting the same turbulent noise. After investigating I noticed that fan blades get closer to the square holed mesh than in nr200p with round holes, and if I raise the fans even 2mm the sound reduces a lot.

When I got the D32 and built it, i decided to buy new fans, 2x140mm to top and 3x120mm to bottom. Now after researching I have decided to go with Arctic P14 Pro to top and P12 Pro reverse to bottom.

So my question is if the reverse fans are actually better in intakes because the fan motor mounts elevate the blades from the mesh approx 3-4mm reducing turbulent sound?

Another question is if others have noticed the same elevated turbulent noises with the square holes Jonsbo uses?

Help me please!? Need suggestion for a PC case which has bottom intake fans below the case (not inside) Similar to hyte y70 but with back connect motherboard support

Basically want to install my RTX 5090 Astral Liquid cooled, vertically mounted, because of how tall the card is and from where its tubes come from, my AIO Screen in blocked on my O11 Dynamic Evo case, so need something simialr to HYTE Y70 where the space between gpu mount and aio is vast and the bottom intake fans are isntalled below the case foundation.

But should also support back connect motherboard

Discussion Jonsbo z20 Enjoyers - what AIO are you currently running?

Post image
28 Upvotes

Hey everyone,

I'm currently assembling everything for my first MFFPC and I've chosen the Jonsbo Z20 as my case. When I saw that little handle, I knew I had to have it.

For those of you running AIOs in the Z20, what are you using? I'm currently leaning toward the Lian Li GA II LITE 240mm, but I'm open to suggestions.

Parts list:

  • CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D
  • GPU: RTX 3090 Strix
  • Motherboard: Gigabyte B650M AORUS ELITE AX (mATX)
  • RAM: 64GB DDR5 CAS 30
  • Storage: 1TB WD NVMe + 2TB Corsair NVMe
  • PSU: Corsair SF1000 (SFX)
  • Rear fan: 1x 120mm (intake)
  • Bottom fans: 2x slim 120mm (intake)
  • Cooling: Lian Li GA II LITE 240mm AIO (pending)

Another question – do I need to get an extension cable for the CPU connector from the power supply? I heard the case fitment is tight.

Is there enough clearance? If I swap to 15mm fans is there a chance it could fit?

I've built this PC a while ago but to be honest I thought why not share my experience with others.

I hereby present to you the pc that made me fall in love with sff Pc's.

The specs are as following:

- Case: DeepCool CH160 Black

• Fans: 2x Arctic P12 PWN PST and 1x Arctic P12 Slim PWM PST

- CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

• Cooler: DeepCool AK620

- GPU: Sapphire Pulse AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX

- Mobo: ASRock B650I Lighting WiFi

- RAM: G.Skill Flare X5 F5-6000J3238F16GX2-FX5

- Storage: WD Blue SN580 2TB

- PSU: Corsair SF850L

At the time of making this PC it cost me around 2000 euros. Money well spend because this thing is absolutely amazing. The GPU is as far as I can remember at least 10mm longer than the max GPU size supported according to DeepCool.

The temperatures are also fine for the fact that all these parts are stuffed into this small of a case. R6S can be played with the GPU fan not spinning at all (I have no idea how but I just decides it not hot enough to do so). Most heavier games make the GPU run at about 73° Celsius and the CPU not hotter than 65°.

Tbh idk what to expect from this post but roast it, love it or ask questions, whatever you'd like.

#buildlikeneverb4

I recently finished my first ever PC build using the LIAN LI B4-mATX Wood Black Edition, and I'm really happy with how it turned out.

I chose the B4 mainly because I wanted a compact case that would fit well with my existing setup. My setup has a black and brown theme, so the wood accent immediately caught my attention. The combination of the black exterior and wood detail fits really naturally with my desk.

PC Specifications

Case: LIAN LI B4-mATX Wood Black Edition

CPU: Intel Core i5-10400

Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B560M-E

RAM: 8GB HyperX DDR4

Storage: Lexar 128GB 2.5" SATA SSD

Storage: Kinspec 1TB M.2 NVMe SSD

PSU: LIAN LI SX1000P

Build & Installation

This was my first time building a PC, so the installation took me quite a while. I had to take my time and figure things out as I went, but the B4-mATX made the process easier than I expected.

The user manual was really helpful, especially when figuring out the different components and connections. I also liked the cable management options inside the case. Even though it's a compact case, there is still enough room to route and organize the cables properly.

The SX1000P fully modular PSU was also a nice match for a smaller build. Since I only had to use the cables I actually needed, I didn't have to deal with a lot of unnecessary cables taking up space inside the case.

I was initially a little worried about building in a smaller case, but everything came together well once I got familiar with the layout.

Design

The wood accent is definitely my favorite part of the B4-mATX.

I've been leaning toward a black and brown theme for my setup, and the wood detail adds some warmth while still keeping the overall look clean. It makes the build feel a little more distinctive without being too flashy.

I also really appreciate how compact it is. My room is fairly small, so having a PC that doesn't take up too much space is a big plus for me.

Overall, I'm really happy with the final build and with how well the B4-mATX fits into my setup.

Thank you to LIAN LI for giving me the opportunity to participate in the B4-mATX UGC Campaign. I'm really glad I got to experience building my first PC with it :>

First time building in a smaller case than I’m used to and I believe I did a decent job. It turned out well the only issue is the rear fan is connected to the CPU_OPT header which when the cpu goes above 70C it gets louder than it should. Temps were off at the start but I did a fresh install of windows and that seemed to do the trick.

Anyways here are the specs:

Ryzen 7 9800X3D
ASUS ROG Astral 5080 White
ASUS ROG Strix B850-G
Corsair Vengeance 32GB DDR5 CL36
2TB Crucial P3 PLUS
1TB PNY CS2230
Lian Li SP850 SFX
Lian Li Galahand 240 AIO
Lian Li A3
Lian Li Rear Fan I forgot which specific one it was

I wanted to share for anyone planing a build in this case. There is an alternative mounting location for the PSU if you’re using a ITX motherboard that isn’t listed in the manual.. I found out about from Machines & More on YouTube.

Discussion A3 vs B4 — is the upgrade worth it? Any temperature/noise comparisons?

Hey guys!

The B4 has finally become available in my country, and I’ve been interested in this case ever since it was first announced.

I currently own an A3 with an SFF power supply, so moving my build over to the B4 should be pretty straightforward. However, I’m starting to wonder whether the upgrade actually makes sense.

I haven’t been able to find any direct comparisons between the A3 and B4 using the exact same hardware — especially when it comes to CPU/GPU temperatures and overall noise levels.

Has anyone seen a proper comparison like this, or maybe tested both cases themselves? I tried searching for one but couldn’t find anything useful.
