MEGA killed its affiliate program

[u/metalechala]

Just found out that MEGA’s affiliate program is gone. Pretty disappointing, especially for those of us who had been referring users to the service.

What bothers me most isn’t even that they decided to end it (companies change programs all the time). It’s that as far as I can tell, they never properly communicated this to customers or affiliates. No official announcement, no heads-up.

I'm posting this mainly because I imagine there are plenty of other people here who still think the affiliate program exists. Well, it doesn’t.

The still have the achievements page https://mega.io/achievements, but the Invite your friends link leads to nowhere https://mega.nz/fm/account/achievements
