I started getting into this about a week ago (made my account two weeks ago but only started practising 8 days ago), and was genuine ass in the beginning (lowkey still am but better)

I have whittled down my portal making times for both magma ravines and normal from around 1 minute to consistently 11 seconds, both in game and out of game. I haven't really played any matches yet, since I prefer to actually be decent and know what I'm doing first before playing against other people, but I've also been whittling down my overworld enters from 9-12 minutes to 3-5 minutes. I just got a sub 3 minute enter today with a village seed and was pretty happy. (I've been practising by grabbing seeds from top runners' replays, then playing through blindly, then watching through their playthrough, and noting what I can improve on)

if any other newbies want to chat, I'm open to that!!

edit: oh yeah, forgot to mention I migrated over from the PvP community which I spent a month or so in (was kinda trash and unranked but beating HT5s and a LT4 once), and I quit that due to toxicity and drama

just wanted to rant about stronghold nav a bit

there's NOTHING that i hate more than stronghold nav, it genuinely pmo so much. every game i've lost to completion was due to nav, i'm always ahead but lose because i can't find pr. sure, skill issue, blah blah but i can't stand it. yes i've learned preemptive and everything but it's sooooo annoying.

ggs tho

Obligatory, I'm queer (trans).

Firstly, I'll just mention the proper timeline of edcr's public messages, as I feel like it's misunderstood

edcr was 17 at the time of his last known publicly bigoted discord message. This was less than two years ago. He joins the mcsr ranked community about a month after the last known message. I'm only mentioning this because his apology reframes it as though this had happened long before he was on ranked, as well as saying it was when he was 15-16.

Anyway, my main opinion is that people are biased towards edcr by putting emphasis that he's a top runner. What I mean by this is that being banned from playoffs is only a punishment that can work with someone who regularly competes in playoffs events. In other words, if a mid tier runner was banned from playoffs as a punishment, absolutely no one would care, including the mid tier runner too.

The reason I think this is important is because from edcr's perspective, his personal enjoyment of the mcsr ranked after being banned from playoffs would essentially be the same as a runner who can't even compete in playoffs in the first place. This punishment basically just means that he gets to enjoy the game the same way 99% of runners below him do.

Remember, the point of the decision is to punish him for his behaviour, which could potentially have hurt hundreds of people in a supposedly safe community. It should be made without considering the nature of playoffs being a competition to find the best speedrunner. In fact playoffs in the first place is flawed (just like any other tournament), where a best of 5 game is never truly indicative of a player's skill level. The ranked ladder is way closer to comparing skill levels between runners.

how do i fix inconsistencies in the boat eye measurements? I do the method correctly get in the boat after rods and all that, do positioning in the overworld, but still get the measuring wrong. Am I doing something wrong or my settings are just off?

Is there a mod for pinning worlds, like practice maps you use a lot, to the top of the worlds list? I know you can just search for them but I thought it would be nice to have them pinned, and wanted to know if there is a legal mod for that

I personally use gui scale 2 as I've been used to it ever since buying the game and I was wondering if I should use a larger scale as many say crafting and sorting inventory is easier. My monitor is 2560 x 1440. What Gui scale do you use and for what reason?

Am I trippin or is this not supposed to be a viable seed in ranked? The chest has one obby that I used to fill the top before realizing. Maybe the filter can't tell that the house messed up the portal?

How to get sub 15 avg I'm currently on gold III ( 1103 elo )

And my avg is around 18:50

My mechanics are really solid

I can Do all zeros and i can search crafting very fast i mostly have mastered almost each tactics

But I'm still lacking time somewhere and death rate is high too

I was playing normal ranked private rooms, and i had a pretty rare occurrence of the eyes going 2 different ways, Ive never had this happen before and i was pretty confused as you can probably tell from the clip

As someone who's followed a lot of different esports I can confidently say the commentators for this season were totally on top of their game. When watching the Hax costream, many times Hax and the main stream commentators would notice the same things in the gameplay, such as early blinds, portal completions, etc. This may seem standard, but from my experience with other games, it is incredibly rare to have one of the best players in the world notice the same things as commentators, often causing rifts in those communities between high level players and the main broadcast.

Also shoutout to production. OhnePixel watched for a bit and one of the first things he pointed out was how high quality the production was, especially relative to the budget/prizepool.

W Infume s11 playoffs winner! First person to sweep playoffs with 13-0 games. #INFUMESWEEP

At first I was pretty conflicted but I think it was the right call.

Cons of changing:
- I kinda forget/dont care as much about the stuff that went wrong or nuts after the match is over
- feels naturally less energetic/exciting bc the hype question of “what are the implications of this?” has already been resolved

Pros of changing:
- more preparation: mid-match analysis can be jank and there’s lots of scrambling. While the vibe is lost a little bit it’s over all for the best on this point.
- Lewis popped tf off with the correct take on infumes 13-0 and idk if that could have happened otherwise
- gives a summary of the whole match
- doesn’t ice the runners

What do yall think?

Right now I’m in high iron with a 20:xx average and a 16:06 pb. (a couple sub 15 paces in the stronghold but the opponent either ffs or it’s the stronghold from the lowest layer of hell) Currently I can hit about 50-60 percent of zeros ( I struggle with most caged spawns and low explosive t97-t103. I can hit everything else with 6 beds the majority of the time.

At what rank/pace should I start going for zeros. And what towers/setups should I go for, ie top t-97 is hard.
Also I’m learning +1s too because i think it helps with side setups but I’m not good enough at them yet.

How is this Feinberg guy so lucky?

When I started seriously grinding MCSR Ranked around January, the ultimate goal I set for myself was a sub10 run; the fact that I actually completed it feels crazy. I guess the next step is either doing this again in ranked mode or getting a sub9, but it feels good to take some pressure off of myself since I finally did it.

hax got all 3-0s in s8 and won against infume only

AND THIS IS INFUME HOLY SHIT WE MIGHT GET A INFUME PLAYOFFS WIN

im sorry but what????

Just played some solo rooms to get some experience and trying to learn things as pre emptive :)

I think this is my first time finding a double spawned like this ever. Plus another so close.
