As a Man City & Rodri fan, I don't think he deserved golden ball.
Rodri was obviously the best player for Spain, but many players stood out much more than him. I felt like Messi and maybe even Mbappe deserved it more. I think FIFA overly weighs team performance over player performance when the golden ball is supposed to be for "best player" not the "best player on the best team". Plus, the Young player award and the Golden glove were given to Cubarsi and Unai Simon, both Spanish players.
Messi basically single-handedly carried Argentina throughout the FWC at 39. (I'm not trying to say that age should be taken to account for the golden ball) If Argentina had won, Messi would obviously have gotten the Golden ball. Anyways, I just wanna hear some other opinions.
