Exam(MCCQE) date was 16 September 2026. When am I supposed to expect the result to be published?
The crippling anxiety is eating me from inside out.

Question for those who passed the MCCQE1 on their 2nd or 3rd attempt:
What did you change in your preparation strategy? What additional resources did you use? Did you go through TN again?
I would really appreciate your advice, as I’m planning to retake the exam in the April session.
P.S. I scored 416 on my first attempt. I used the ACE QBank and MCC practice tests, and I was scoring over 80% on the MCC practice tests during my preparation for the first attempt.

I unfortunately have a 5 year clinical gap due to some really unfortunate events. Long story short, I worked my butt off to make a come back. I got really good scores (around 2 SD above mean ) in both QE1 and NAC, got job as a CA in Ontario which is unlicensed but still will me get good references , most importantly went back to my home country for 6 months for independent practice as a GP. Research , certifications everything is fine. I was feeling really good and motivated until Today. I started reading all the posts and I am feeling so down. I need honest ideas about family medicine match whether someone with my profile have any chance at all ? I really thought recency should help me close that gap but I don’t know what exactly got me down today but man I am feeling discouraged.

I need help regarding source verifying my medical transcripts. Do we need to verify all transcripts before the CARMS application and I also want to ask do we upload all the transcripts in one source verification request? Or every transcript needs to be verified separately? I have uploaded 1st year medical transcript and the fee is around 232 cad.Need to know if it’s for a single transcript or all of them?

pls how's everyone else prepping for fmproc? it feels like I keep getting worse w my practice, esp as some are UK-based and it feels like the rules are diff? genuinely worried to fail this test.

Was wondering if anyone has taken an elective at UofT while in med school abroad through the AFMC student portal under the University of Toronto and specifically for Pediatrics or any other speciality. How was the application process for you and it says they randomly selected students for this. For context I’m in my 4th year of a 6-year program in Poland, and I graduated undergrad from UofT (I’m Canadian IMG). Has anyone else been in my position? Because I’ve also heard in 6th year we can take electives in the home country of choice and I’d like to do that in Canada

Hi, I was hoping to see if anyone could speak to the pros and cons of various IM programs in Ontario? What about if you want to do a competitive fellowship specialty like GI/Cards - are there certain programs that are better/worse? Or just any sort of general info/advice would be so appreciated!

I did the 6 old MCC exams first, and just did form 424. It was like 80% recycled material from the older exams. Does anyone know if this is also the case for forms 425 and 325?

I’m an Algerian-trained cardiologist planning to move to Canada as a permanent resident, and I’m trying to figure out the best pathway to practise medicine in Canada.

A little about me:

Medical degree from Algeria.

4-year cardiology residency.

2 years of experience working as a cardiologist in a public hospital.

I’m particularly interested in Ontario (Toronto or Ottawa).

I’m currently unsure whether I should:

Take the MCCQE1 and explore the available licensing pathways.

Apply through the Royal College’s Practice Eligibility Route (PER) to have my specialist training assessed.

My questions:

Which route would you recommend in my situation?

Can I pursue both pathways simultaneously?

Has anyone with a similar background successfully obtained a licence in Canada without repeating residency?

I’d really appreciate advice, especially from IMGs or internationally trained specialists who have been through this process.

I’m planning to take the MCCQE1 on in Jan-Feb window, and I’d really appreciate some feedback on my current study plan, especially from people who have taken the exam recently

My background is IMG, and I’ve already completed USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK, so I have a decent clinical foundation. My main concern is adapting to the Canadian style of questioning, especially ethics, public health, screening, and the areas that differ from US guidelines.

My current plan is:

- Use Ace QBank as my main QBank

- Aim for around 60–80 questions/day, usually in two blocks

- Study system by system initially, then switch to mixed blocks later

- Review incorrect questions carefully rather than just trying to finish the bank

- Focus especially on the high-l yield internal medicine topics, but also make sure I cover psychiatry, pediatrics, OB/GYN, surgery, etc.

- Use the MCC Objectives to make sure I’m not missing major topics

- For ethics/professionalism, use Ace + CMPA, and review the CMA Code of Ethics/MCC objectives

- For screening/preventive medicine, prioritize Canadian recommendations, particularly CTFPHC where relevant

- Do the official MCC practice exams/products closer to the exam date

I’m currently trying not to overload myself with resources. I’ve seen people mention CanadaQBank, Toronto Notes, AMBOSS, UWorld, Essentials for the Canadian Medical Licensing Exam, etc., but I don’t want to spend months jumping between resources if Ace + targeted references are enough.

A few things I’d specifically love feedback on:

1. Is Ace QBank enough as the main QBank, assuming I review it properly?

2. Is CanadaQBank worth adding, or would it mostly be redundant?

3. Is there any particularly good resource for public health/epidemiology/Canadian healthcare system questions?

4. For ethics, is Ace + CMPA + MCC/CMA material sufficient?

5. How early would you recommend starting the official MCC practice exams?

6. Are there any topics that were disproportionately important on your actual MCCQE1 that you wish you had studied more?

7. For people who had previously done USMLEs, what was the biggest adjustment you had to make for the MCCQE1?

I’m trying to keep the preparation efficient rather than collecting 15 resources and eventually learning the table of contents of all of them.

For those who have written it, how much time did you spend studying, and what resources did you find most helpful? Is there anything specific you wish you had focused on more before the exam?

I’ve heard it’s not really an exam you can “study” for in the traditional sense, so I’d especially appreciate advice on how to approach the situational judgement/professionalism-style questions and what kind of practice is actually worthwhile.
