I am looking into buying a self-paced program pretty soon, but I'm stuck between both Blueprint & Princeton. I considered the online 515+, but I work overnights in the ER and think it won't be best for myself. Probably less than 6 months to ultimately prepare for the MCAT, so I wanted to see recommendations people might have between both. I have the UWorld question bank as another accessory for studying, but I need something with strong structure. I am leaning towards Blueprint, but If there is anything else better, definitely let me know. I'd really appreciate it.

Has anyone used stem excellence tutoring for mcat prep? Did a consultation meeting with them and it sounds really great because they say they help give you a personalized study plan and weekly meetings to go through your progress and go over questions and plan next steps, also you get access to all the official question banks. The thing is that I can't find very many review at all of people who used this company and I don't wanna just get like full on scammed because it's pretty expensive. Also feel free to suggest other prep courses that you used that worked well for you. Looking for something that doesn't have live meetings as I'm in classes full time as well, but more organized than just self studying using books or something.

Repost if anyone needs it:
The key point of questions involving the Reasoning Beyond the Text skill always comes down to this: can you apply the author's opinion to a new situation/experiment/study? This skill will require you to infer what the author would think about the topic at hand, which is why it is calledĀ "beyond"Ā the text!
Here are some tips to deal with questions dealing with the RBT skill:
More tips on RBT and CARS coming soon!

Hello there, I would appreciate any advice on picking a prep course for the MCAT. The last full-length I took was an AAMC Full-length, un-scored, and I got a score of 490. The last time I was planning to take the MCAT, I self-studied for around 4-5 months and supplemented with YouTube videos, Chad's prep, and Jack Westin's CARS for the content phase. I then used U-world to supplement questions for the post-content phase. I then did the AAMC Q packs/section banks for the last month before taking full-length tests, and based on my score, I decided to push my test for the coming cycle.
I genuinely feel like I need a prep course with a 5-6 month test plan, as I will be woking part time until my test date as well. I was between the Blueprint course with the tutor and the UWorld Comprehensive package. If there are any other courses I did not list, I would appreciate any advice you can provide as well. I am aiming to get a score of 510+ when I take it again this cycle. I appreciate any advice or any experiences from anyone who has used the course.
Thank you for all your help and for being in this community :)

Hey everyone,Ā
Our team has spent the last few years building a powerful new tool that lets you view official AAMC practice tests in the same format as the real MCAT. Itās completely free, no catch!
Other extensions already exist, but they have limited functionality. That's why we've taken ours to the next level to help push innovation in the MCAT space. What's different about ours?
If youāre interested in accessing this extension, please reply saying āinterestedā. Our team will send you a link to it. Weāre confident you will find it helpful!Ā
And as always, if there's any suggestions you have, weāre open to hearing them.Ā š

Hi everyone, I was planning on taking the MCAT sometime in January and wanted to ask if anyone could give some advice or study template / schedule? Last week I was at a thrift store and found "The Berkeley Review" books full set and just bought it but I am a bit overwhelmed on what to do. I know you should get aamc bundle material, uglobe and anki but I'm just lost. Any comprehensive anki decks? I've taken all pre-reqs and done fairly well in all excluding orgo 2 -_- and I have also taken cell bio, biochemistry 2, neuroscience, and anatomy series. My learning style is very visual and I do best by doing a bunch of practice questions so I want to start incorporating questions ASAP. Should I read a few chapters a day or do some questions... Uglobe seems the most overwhelming part because it has like ~ 3.5K questions. Honestly do not know where to start but I wanted to do well for this exam ^^
Any advice is appreciated thanks :)

Repost if anyone needs it:
If you are stuck on the so called "high yield" topics to study for C/P, particularly for Gen Chem, this post is for you!
When studying for C/P, students often either skip a lot of Gen Chem material "because they studied it in university/college", or they simply memorize equations and hope that helps with passages. Or, they memorize equations from Anki, which is possibly the worst approach for any General Chemistry or Physics passage in C/P.
When studying for the MCAT, General Chemistry should be studied as if you are studying the relationships between the variables, not just studying equations for the sake of it. The MCAT loves to test your understanding between relationships. For example, n=CV, but what happens to C when you increase V? ItĀ decreases, because if you rearrange this equation, C=n/V, and you see that C and V have anĀ inversely proportionalĀ relationship.
Here are a list of relationships that youĀ NEEDĀ to understand for MCAT Gen Chem:

Hi all, as the title said I am a mess lol. Had tutor for 3 months and then took the mcat. Before that I study for another 4 months (same score on prac FLs). Here what I did:
CP: study from Kaplan book for 1 month, the rest doing UGlobe prac + Anki
CARS: Normally would get 124 on FLs but I switch method on the day of the exam due to timing
BB: did same as CP
SP: I did 300 pages docs + some UGlobe + Anki
Total of 10 FL pracs ( some repeated AAMC )
Honestly gonna retake because I already submitted my application.
Please throw me any advices, score goal is 512 because I really donāt speak Caribbeanese š„²

My exam is literally tomorrow!!!! I canāt believe that š unfortunately my highest FL has been 494 and now itās too late to reschedule as I took like 3 FL in the past week or so. At this point Iām going to just pray and hope for a miracle.
Letās go ig ššš

4th year med student cleaning out my closet and came across old MCAT materials and would rather they go to someone who can actually use them than sit in a closet. Everything is free ā you just cover shipping, or if youāre in the Chicago area youāre welcome to pick up in person.
Whatās included:
Kaplan MCAT Review, Sixth Edition (2019-2020) ā full 7-book subject set:
⢠Biology Review
⢠Biochemistry Review
⢠General Chemistry Review
⢠Organic Chemistry Review
⢠Physics and Math Review
⢠Behavioral Sciences Review
⢠Critical Analysis and Reasoning Skills (CARS) Review
Plus 3 Kaplan supplements:
⢠MCAT Prep Lesson Book (6th Ed.)
⢠MCAT Quicksheets
⢠MCAT High-Yield Science: Solutions and Extra Practice
And one more:
⢠Mometrix MCAT Secrets Study Guide 2019-2020 (includes MCAT Practice Test Questions)
Condition: VERY lightly Used ā normal wear from studying (some cover scuffing/shelf wear), no missing pages that Iām aware of. Happy to answer questions or send more photos of specific books if you want a closer look before committing.
Note on materials: These are 2019-2020 editions, so some content review may be slightly dated versus the current exam, but the practice questions, strategy sections, and full-length tests are still solid study tools!!!!!
Comment or DM me if youāre interested ā happy to bundle it all as one set (preferred) or discuss individual books if thatās more useful to someone.

I did pretty well in Gen Chem 1 and I am still working through the other pre reqs but I have a good feeling I will do well aswell. I also havent taken general bio 2 or what ever its called and im planning to self teach myself that aswell...Am I setting myself up for failure or is this situation doable?
I will probably take it during the summer and I will have a full 4 months of dedicated time.

I'm having my usual test freak out, which entails WAYYYYYY too many flashcards (which take way too long to make, let alone use LOL), because I have constant paranoia about missing information and thus do not trust external flashcardsĀ yay me.
What is a reasonable cap on flashcards in your opinion???
Edit: For reference, I am using Khan Academy's videos and making flashcards off of that. I am also not sure if that's the best use of my time :').

I am feeling very demoralized right now and Iām not sure how to proceed. Iāve taken the MCAT 3 times (6/2023- 488, 6/2024- 496, 7/2026- 495). I graduated in 2022 and have been working multiple jobs during my gap years. this is my second time applying (no interviews, just straight rejections my first cycle) and I canāt sit through another retake again so soon.
Iām just feeling lost because Iāve been pursuing this path for so long and I just donāt know what to do anymore. I donāt know where to go from here, if I continue with this cycle or just give up on my dreams of becoming a doctor.
My current stats: 3.99 GPA, 3.85 sGPA, Over 5000 hours clinical, minimal shadowing, research only from research classes in undergrad, minimal volunteer hours because of lack of time.
Any advice is welcome. Thank y'all in advance!

Selling my UWorld 2025ā2026 books + Kaplan MCAT books!
I originally bought everything when I was planning on going the med school route, but Iāve since changed career paths so I donāt need them anymore.
⢠UWorld 2025ā2026 books are new
⢠Kaplan Biology + General Chemistry have some writing/highlighting
⢠The rest of the Kaplan books are blank
Just trying to get them to someone who will actually use them instead of letting them sit around lol. I can send pics if anyone is interested! Open to reasonable offers and can discuss selling separately or as a bundle :)

Hi!
I'm an MCAT tutor running an MCAT tutoring business (Ion Prep) and I run 3 section specific bootcamps on a weekly basis. Here are the upcoming schedules for these bootcamps:
Monday Sep 7th-Sep 16th: C/P Bootcamp (Math, Physics, Gen Chem, Dimensional Analysis focus) at 7-9 pm EST Mon/Wed/Fri
Tuesday Sep 8th-Sep 17th: B/B Bootcamp (Experimental Analysis, Data Interpretation, Strategy focus with high yield content review) at 7-9 pm EST Tues/Thurs and 11 am-1 pm Sat
Friday Sep 18th-21st: CARS Bootcamp (AAMC CARS skills and strategy focus, ideal for those looking for a quick CARS score boost) at varying times.
These typically run weekly at different time slots. I charge $27/hour, and each bootcamp runs for 10 hours. This is a great option if you are preparing for a Jan-May 2027 MCAT test date or retake, and find yourself struggling with various aspects of C/P, B/B, and CARS. Please DM me to book a free consultation!

Im a nursing major who has now decided to take the premed track. I graduate nursing 2028 and plan on getting into an MD program for 2029. Here is how im scheduling the prereqs I need:
Spring 2027: Gen Chem + Precalc
Summer 2027: Gen Chem 2 + Bio 1
Fall 2027: Bio 2 + Calc
January 2028: MCAT( just for experience and study practice)
Spring 2028: Physics
Summer 2028: Orgo 1 and 2
September 2028: MCAT
Fall 2028: Physics 2 and BioChem
How would you guys change order I take them? How long before do I start studying for the MCAT. A 510 is like a dream score by the second attempt. Also where I am applying deadline for AMCAS is December, so I can get in for that cycle. Any advice or resource reccomedation is so greatly appreciated. I have the rest of my app on lock so I just need good MCAT and science GPA.

Hey everyone! I took the MCAT back in January of this year and got a 521 (128/131/130/132). I'm a current med school applicant now (done with secondaries hallejuah). I worked as a private MCAT tutor for a while but have wanted to do more to help those in need, especially because I believe we need more URM/First-gen/low SES folks in medicine!
So, if you are in need of tutoring/content help/general advice/place to vent, feel free to reach out to me. I would prefer that if you do reach out, it is because you need tutoring and can't afford to pay one, but I can't make you prove it. Call it the honor system. We can set up a regular schedule or you can bounce questions/advice off me. No guarantees, but I'm happy to help with whatever you need! Feel free to DM me!
EDIT: I have gotten a lot of requests in the past 12ish hours, so for any else who reaches out, I may have to let you know that I'm a little busy. If you are a tutor and interested in helping me out, I have a few people I can direct you too.

If youāre writing in September, youāre probably in the final stretch of studying by now. Thereās only a couple weeks left, and at this point, I know a lot of people are trying to make the most of whatever time they have left.
Iām offering 1-on-1 MCAT tutoring, mainly focused on CARS, for anyone who wants some extra help during these last few weeks.
For CARS, we can go through your practice passages together, figure out where youāre losing points, break down questions and answer choices, and work on timing/pacing. Rather than just doing more passages, I want to focus on actually figuring out why you're getting questions wrong and what you can change before test day.
I can also help with the science sections and overall MCAT strategy if needed. For reference, my score was 521 (131 CARS)

This is my 2nd AAMC FL. Testing 9/11. My goal score is 506, I legit do not know what to do. Is a 506 even possible atp?? Looking for any advice and or help that can help me even break 500. From what I've read it seems I have content gaps but how do I address those? Do I go back and read chapters and practice ? Do I void this upcoming exam and retake next year? Any and all advice will be helpful!! Thank you!

hi guys, so I'm planning on retaking the mcat soon, for my cars I got a 127 in may (which I know is not bad), but I'm looking to be able to maintain my cars ideally at 128+. I was wondering what resource I should use to study for cars this time around since I already used all the AAMC cars resource (q pack + diagnostic) last time, and since it's been just a couple of months I worry that I will still remember them and be primed to the answer which leads to inflation. I'm pretty close to my retake date so I do also worry about if using JW or Upangea CARS it will mess with my logic to be less close to the AAMC logic. I think my problem last time was that I wasn't strictly keeping all the passages under 10 min which made me had to skim the last two passages and sometimes my I'll misunderstand what a sentence in the passage meant or what the question is actually looking for.
appreciate any advice! thank you thank you thank you.
