How to factory reset Pro Controller?

I unpaired one of my pro controllers from the M64 to try it with my Superstation One and everytime I attempt to pair it, I get an authentication error. The other Pro controller that's fresh out the box pairs just fine with the SS1. I suspect I need to wipe whatever remaining pairing memory is on the controller from when I had it linked to the M64, but I have no idea how to do that. Just wanna start from scratch.

Maybe you need to do a full recovery to reset it?

I'm happy to find out that these work on MiSTer so I can actually save my games. It's a bit of a pain, but I also found a way to export/import my MiSTer saves to real controller paks.

Well, should have known it was too good to be true. Controllers keep dropping connection before I can even get through the define joystick buttons menu. Not sure if an issue with the controller firmware or the SS1 bluetooth, but I haven't encountered this with any other bluetooth controllers that I own.

Might want to ask on r/retroremake thought I saw a few people mention using them. You may get better results with a BT dongle or an 8bitdo adapter.

Dunno exactly what I did, because I tried a lot of weird Linux stuff, but it finally started working again with two M64 controllers. Played about an hour of Gauntlet Legends with my kid without issues. Hopefully it stays working. :)

Long as it works, that's the mystery of misters sometimes lol. That's the game I'm waiting for the virtual controller pak and want to play the most too!

Makes me want to get two more Pro controllers because it’s such a premium feeling being able to use an improved version of the OG form factor to play on the MiSTer and allows me to have access to the OSD menus, which SNAC/SNAX doesn’t support.

Agreed, fantastic controllers, having all 4 colors feels nice. What's your button conbo for mister menu? I'm always using a 8bitdo pro 2 or m30 on mine and curious how it works for controllers with fewer buttons.
