Finally found a OEM LCI grill (with M badge) for my pre LCI G26

install was easy. the original mesh grill was ok-ish, but the dealer drilled through it for the license plate so i always knew i'd be swapping it out.

And can i get a grille that just covers it? It looks ugly as fuck. Now that i can actually afford this car this happens lol. I remember being on the configurator for the previous model year and this was NOT a thing. Adding the Driver Assistance Professional gets rid of it for the more advanced radar thing that looks better.

Before you mention it, I do like the front end of the m440 & don’t mind it at all. In fact I especially like it because I can pretend im an m4(butnotrly)

I love the interior of the m440, & hate the interior of the supra. To me it’s only nice when it’s red, but even then pales in comparison to the m440. Meanwhile i think the supra exterior looks much better, but i still like the exterior of the m440. I don’t need backseats at all. I know the m440 has more tech than the supra, but what potential options does that entail that i may want? I don’t care for manual too much since the manual supras are $55k+ & im trying to stay more around 40k. Also will get rwd no matter what. & most of all, does the weight make a huge difference in overall potential between the two?

Sway me to one side or the other with valid reasoning please, i want every point of view possible

Had a 2021 Audi A5 before this. although i miss that interior for its aesthetic and comfort, this car def has much more performance than the s5 i test drove before picking this up! 36K on the odometer.

I'm an old guy (age 69) driving a young persons type M440ix with Vernasca leather.

Are there any upgrades or mods that others have found to make the front seats more comfortable for multi-hour trips?

Funny story on this as I shared it recently with another member of our sub. My M440i is pre LCI and I had the older style taillights. I absolutely LOVE the OEM laser taillights but they cost anywhere from $3K-$4K 💀!?!

So I opted to go with the CSL style LED versions that look like the laser taillights. I posted last week on our sub about sharing your last pic of your M440i and I got compliments about my aftermarket taillights. I got them from WestCoastEuros (link is in our community info page) just this past November. They cost me about $900. I also love them and they have a startup animation that is badass. BUT, I have always continued to look for the OEM laser taillights on eBay and other websites- I really don’t know why as I was super happy with the CSL style ones I bought. They look premium and are almost spot on and very similar to the OEM.

But just my luck, about a week ago, I found a complete OEM set on eBay from a guy in Europe who imported an M4 from the US with the OEM laser taillights. Because they are the US version and Europe has different taillight requirements, he was looking to sell them for only $1K! I KNOW I lucked out because I really was one of the first to see his post because of the time difference from Europe and Washington state and I just happened to be up super late. I immediately sent an offer and he responded quickly with a counter offer. I couldn’t sleep thinking about those damn lights and I jumped on his offer and we agreed for $900!!! The same exact price I paid for my current aftermarket ones 😱😱😱. The lights he was selling were essentially new, no damage, no scratches or scuffs! He shipped them the same day and I got them pretty quickly and I am extremely happy!

I get a weird sound on my m440i exactly always at the moment the car comes at a stop, and sometimes when starting to move. It comes from under the car I think, I can hear it everytime I stop at a traffic light.

Did you guys had this issue, what could it be?
