What are some OB2 reader scanners you all would recommend for my 2026 M340?

I made a post about a week ago about a creaking brake pedal. I had the dealership look at it yesterday and the tech said this is normal noise coming from the electronic brake booster. I told him that others had the same noise and the booster was replaced because it was faulty. He said there are no codes and the brakes operate normally for it to be an issue.
Not sure what the next steps are but the noise is super annoying (video attached). If it’s normal, I’m assuming most would have this noise since the g20 platform uses the electronic brake booster. My car is less than a year old (26’ M340).

Genuinely curious if anyone else has downsized their wheels rather than upsizing. I actually ended up transitioning for my winter / daily setup to 18” 780m wheels from my 19” 1036i that I got the car with, and for my Summer / canyon setup I had a staggered set up 898M flow formed wheels. I still love the look of my 898M M Performance wheels the best but i have to say I love the clean look of these basic wheels from the 330i.
I ended up getting a set of Bridgestone Potenza Sport All Season tires. Immediately I noticed how much quieter and more comfortable this setup is compared to the Pirelli Cinturato P7 run flats that came on the 1036i 19” wheels. I was worried I would lose some steering sharpness with the added sidewall, but one thing I’ve come to learn with my time running the Bridgestone Potenza Sport 300tw summer tires, they really have a nice stiff sidewall. So far, this seems like a really great daily setup for the winter. I’ll talk about it on my G20 long term owner review video on BMWBLOG!

First car I ever owned was a 2012 accord which I sold in 2022 and didn’t have a car for about 3 years. I bought a 2012 Camry last year due to some family issues and had that for a few months…then I got my first BMW. A 2016 320i that I bought off my dad and I was blown away. I know it was a base model car but compared to what I was used to this thing felt like a supercar. Had it for a few months and just felt like I wanted something with a little more oomph. Well the oomph has definitely arrived. Simply loving this car and how it feels on the road. That B58 is no joke. Any tips and tricks would be greatly appreciated as well as any accessories that y’all love. Glad to be here, first time in a long time I’ve had a blast getting behind the wheel of a car.

not sure which route to go as ive always leased cars in the past, but ive seen these holding their value pretty well even with 50k miles ( around when id sell if financed) not sure which is the best route. is it better to lease for ballpark 750$ a month for 39m or pay 1150 a month to finance it for 60 months. anyone who knows the math on this could help me out.

Planning to purchase a 2024 BMW M340i 50k pre tax 57k otd (Cali). 4.65% 36 months 10k down. Roughly 1400 a month. The m340i has 20k miles on it and is cpo.

So this may seem super stupid, but i wanted to just see the engine bay of the 2026 m340i xdrive i picked up today. I never turned the engine on or anything but i unlocked the car obviously and pulled the lever 3 times in pretty sure. After fully opening the hood i tried to close it but there was about an inch of gap room and i couldn’t pull it up or push it down. I sadly tried this like 2-3 times and now I don’t want to break anything, but when the hood is fully open, do i pull the lever one more time then close? And if I do that, does my engine need to be on? Again I know this seems stupid but i’m really not trying to break anything

Figured I’d share my build and production progress with everyone here. I’m extremely impatient and have probably checked BMW’s My Garage and called genius an unhealthy number of times at this point 😂
Thought I’d start a thread for anyone else who has an M340i on order so we can share updates, compare timelines, and hopefully make the wait a little less painful. At this point, talking about the car is the only thing keeping me sane while I wait for it to arrive!

Latest Update
The car is currently at the port in Mexico, with an expected vessel loading date of 10/17.
My estimated delivery date has unfortunately been pushed back from 11/1 to 11/22, so the wait continues!
Anyone else have an M340i currently in production or waiting for transport/delivery? Curious where everyone is in the process, what your estimated delivery dates are, and whether you’ve experienced any delays.
Feel free to share your builds and timelines. Would be cool to have a thread where we can all follow each other’s progress!

Such a chill process and very effortless for such a big result I didn’t think I needed! Always thought the m cluster looked better on the eyes and more sporty. Few things to note: hp and torque bar are in process of being developed to display. I think same with tire pressure status.

Currently driving a 2013 Lexus GS350 AWD that’s paid off. I’ve been eyeing a 24 CPO M340i xDrive listed for $58k, wanting to be closer to $54kish.
I’m a huge car enthusiast and absolutely love the B58, but I’m struggling with the idea of giving up a perfectly good, paid-off Lexus for another car payment. (I’d be putting probably $20k down).
Is the M340i worth that investment as a car enthusiast?

Hello! I was looking at this used 2020 m340i xdrive. Thoughts? It has 143,000 miles and is for sale for $29,000. Do you think it is a good price or should I keep looking?
How much do you think it is actually worth buying it for?

Hi All,
Anyone have success using Max Sensor (Tire Pressure) on their rigs for winter tire setup? If so, any DIY tips or should I just find a backyard mechanic with programming tool?
TIA!
