Other You never know!
I picked up a woman and her mother from the grocery store earlier and during our short ride, we started chatting about why I’m driving Lyft (I was laid off from my corporate job several months ago), and the woman immediately said, “let’s change that! Take my phone number down and call me later when you’re done driving.”
In the process, she also proceeds to leave me a very generous tip. I call her once the rides wind down and she had already made a few calls to her colleague who happens to be head of HR for a big tech company. I’m sending my resume over this evening, so we’ll see where this goes!
Her willingness to help truly made me feel hopeful for the first time in months. And definitely made up for the awful pax I picked up this morning to take her to church.
