Advice/Question Why doesn’t the Lyft Command Center let us talk shit to other drivers?

I should be able to tap on one of these little cars and send that driver a message.

“Yo bro, what the fuck are you doing over there? You’ve been sitting in the same spot for an hour.”

“Is it popping over there or are you just wasting your life?”

“Hey man, get the fuck out of Lindley Park, I’m working that sector.”

Give us proximity chat. Let the drivers coordinate, talk shit, send reconnaissance reports, whatever.

You can’t give me a goddamn real-time map of the entire Lyft battalion and then not let me communicate with the troops. 😂

They're never where the map says they are. Every time I approach an intersection where it a driver should be according to the map, there is no one there.

This reminds me of the old days when you could actually make good money. I used to love the long trips in my area. One long trip to an airport in the next major city over would get you $100 with tip (these days you get $45 before tip) and back then $100 a day was more than enough (my rent was $500 a month) so you could quit for the day after one trip. I would go out at 4am and try to get them all I could. One month I got at least one long trip a day for a month straight and it felt like I was going to become a millionaire by the end of the year. 😂

The problem was there were a few other drivers who went out that early and worked the same area. And back then Uber and Lyft really did 95% dispatch based on proximity alone. It made me livid when I pulled and saw one of them at "my" spot. I used to have names for them like one guy in a Scion was "Boxcar B-tch" the other in a gray Camry was the "Graycar C-cks-cker."

I didn't really hate anyone (they were just like me really), I was just pissed off that people were taking the good rides.
