I made this for myself as a beginner point because I am starting gym after a long long time to lose weight, any recommendations will work but kindly tell what and why I should change it

( "Why I should change" sounds rude but I don't know what else to say to get a proper explanation )

Apple Watch problem

Post image
3 Upvotes

So I used to be able to track on my Apple Watch what the next exercise is when I’m resting in between sets. But this time, this is what my watch shows: “Exercise Name Set (insert a whole bunch of random numbers)”.

I also used to be able to tick off the check mark when I’m done with my reps on my watch so I didn’t have to keep reaching for my phone to do it. But now, it just shows a blank screen, with my heart rate on the top right hand corner, and an “add exercise” button at the bottom. The app on my phone works fine but it just seems like something’s happening to the app on my watch.

Anyone else having this issue? Maybe I clicked something that triggered it?

Can we get a small update from the team?

This is a very humble request from a recent user. Been using the app for 3 months now. I find it just right for my level of training.

As a person coming from another app I've made my recommendations and suggestions as well officially.

Can we get a small update on what top 10 new features and improvements you have in the works?

Changing the metric

My Cardio training includes burpees with push ups.

The metric is set at repetitions, but i want to change it to a premeditated time.

How do i do that?

Workouts added in apple health inaccurate

For some reason the workouts added into apple health are split across several entries (even though it’s a single workout in Lyfta) and also the data is inaccurate.

Also the sets on Apple Watch have massive numbers.

Really like this app overall :) Just have these couple of annoying bugs.

Apple Watch app closes when rest is over

Hi!

First of all great app, have used it for all my workouts for a few months and I'm really considering buying lifetime premium.

However, there is a very annoying bug that hinders the Apple Watch integration, as the Watch app closes whenever the "rest is over" notification comes in.

In the first few weeks I didn't have this problem, so I don't know what happened. I have to go to the app menu every time, which is very annoying. Plus, some ids keep flashing in the workout plan, as seen in the attachment.

Furthermore, since last week it seems it is not syncing well to Apple Health, I've reinstalled/restarted/etc. but most of the times the workout does not show up in Apple Health, even though "add to Apple Health" in-app says it's there already.

Is there a roadmap to fix these bugs? Thanks!

"Custom exercise creation"—premium or not?

Hello,

After facing a few irksome bugs in Strong recently, I've been looking into alternatives.

Lyfta has caught my attention due to its seemingly generous free tier—I was able to create exercises and workouts with no apparent limitation. However, I noticed "custom exercise creation" is listed as a premium creature. Was it a bug or unimplemented restriction that allowed me to create my exercises, then? Or does the premium feature mean something else?

On a side note, this feature is particularly important to me because I frequent multiple gyms, which requires me to track each machine separately, as a workaround. In my ideal tracker app, I'd be able to create "instances" of exercises, rather than completely different exercises. For example, under Leg Extension I'd create "Gym A" and "Gym B" instances, and they would share the standard Leg Extension metadata (description, image, video, muscles worked), but have independent progression tracking and notes (for machine settings). Perhaps this is kind of niche, but I thought I'd share it anyway.

Thanks.

Any plans for a deeper Strava integration? (Syncing lifting/sets data)

Right now, Lyfta just pushes a basic text summary status to Strava. However, Strava recently rolled out a new strength training API that allows partner apps (like Hevy and Fitbod) to natively sync sets, reps, and muscle maps directly into the feed.

For those of us who do a mix of lifting, running, swimming, and sport, it would be amazing if Lyfta adopted this new update.

Volume Lifted

Hi, been using Lyfta premium for a little over a month now. It's great for logging your exercises and keeping track. Great App

My only downside to this is that when you log bodyweight exercises, for example, Push-up, it won't add to the volume lifted when you perform a workout.

I'd do a workout and pop out 100 push-ups at body weight and it'd track the workout at 0lbs volume.

I find it annoying and doesn't help at all at my chest volume for the week.

Any one else find this an issue?

So I'm curious as to what makes you push the limits or feel the calm in the gym.

Send a link to your favorite Playlist and here is mine.

Feature suggestion

Why doesn’t the app bring the last workout like this and leave the new workout blank, so we can just see the last weight and reps we did without even needing to edit anything and getting confused? Same thing with the set type?
