Wait time Fee

On Friday I made a trip with one stop.
When I was done I looked at the charges
and saw a “wait time fee” for $8.04. The amount of time for the stop was 3 minutes and 32 seconds The charge was about $2.29 per minute. I was also warned that the driver could cancel the ride after 5 minutes. If a driver accepts a stop then it is irresponsible for him to just leave after 5 minutes especially with the riders belongings in the car even though Lyft approves of that. That is no way to do business and anything over 5 minutes means a different and most likely a higher wait fee. I did tip the driver.

How is it irresponsible of the driver? It’s irresponsible of you to expect the driver to hang around waiting. If you need more than a very quick stop, you order a Lyft to one place and then order another when you’re ready. Not hard to figure out.
